This is an on-grid/grid-tied inverter so no batteries.
Systems aren't identical. My friend is using a different inverter but at the same 7kw size and in the same area.
So I am not sure if my inverter is faulty or is it something else.
Thanks for the response.
Yes I have already bought 5kw grid-tie inverter along with the solar panels and all the structure. It isn't fully setup yet but the 5kw string has been installed already.

Thanks for the suggestions. Not many birds around and definitely no squirrels 😄
The wifi module is configured to send data every 5 minutes so it's unlikely it's minute by minute.
Does anything look wrong here in attached screenshots? One for MPPT voltage and another for MPPT power.
I have a 100AH x 4, i.e. 48v battery bank, flooded deep cycle batteries, on a solar inverter.
- The batteries are for backup in case of power failure so they're RARELY discharged.
- I have set a float of 52.8v
- Bulk charge at 57v.
- Room temperature goes as high as 44c.
Now I have read that...
I am looking to setup one grid-tied (5kw) and one hybrid (5kw) inverter in the same house due to cost concerns. Each inverter has its own 5kw solar panels.
Is this possible at all?
And is it possible to export the excess energy from both of these?
Separately, these both inverters can, but I...
These are Flooded deep cycle batteries. It's AGS, a local brand in my country.
My main concern is, will there be sulfation due to just staying on float charge for so long?
If not equalizing, should I just discharge them to maybe 50% once a month and recharge to the normal bulk charge of 57v...
I know this is a very old topic but I just wanted to reply to @abhelou as this might be helpful.
You're missing the power factor in your calculation. Check using a watt meter. The power factor will be ~0.1 or 0.2 in the inverter idle mode.
Power = volts x amp x power factor
= 220 x 2 x 0.1 =...
Hi,
I am new to all this excuse my ignorance. I am trying to have a setup with the following requirement:
- We have frequent power failures schedules here of combined 4-6 hours / day (1 hour fixed each time). So on-grid is not good enough.
I need the backup from batteries and I want the solar...
I have the following setup:
- 12x580watt Longi Hi-mo x6 panels (6960watt)
- Growatt 15kw On-Grid Inverter (export to grid with no limits)
I keep getting dips and fluctuations on graphs daily, while my friend who has the same inverter in the same area, does not get these dips and has a rather...
Sorry I wasn't too clear on terminology, but I believe it's string since it's for a home setup using the common residential solar inverters.
And thanks for the diagram.
I am looking for a setup as this (each separate, but the power meter / grid is the same)
1. 5KW Hybrid inverter with 5KW...
Ok after weeks of research, I finally figured it out there's a hidden feature on the growatt web interface that can get me history data. I got the history data and could correlated it to DerateMode = 4 whenever power drops.
It appears whenever the grid frequency reaches 50.3+hz, the derating...
I have an Inverex Veyron II 6kw Hybrid Inverter that comes with an app named i.Solar. The only other solar inverters that use this app, seem to be MPP Solar inverters. For example here...
I have a Growatt on-grid 15kw inverter that's not producing smooth graphs with many small dips over the day. I thought this was normal until I saw a friend's graphs and they were rather smooth.
This is on a normal clear day with no shade/clouds etc. It's the same thing daily.
Please see the...
Thanks for the input. This was my concern too and ruled out clouds as a factor as first thing. He has the exactly same inverter and panels (except 12kw total panels in his case) and has same positioning of panels. Only difference is tilt. His is 15deg while mine's 25deg. Otherwise same direction.
