I spend most of my summer out at the lake, and I keep the solar panel charging constantly during summer, while the boat is in the water. Recently switched to Li battery as the lead acid deep cycle died. Also, at 70, hauling that deep cycle beast a couple of hundred yards uphill from the boat occasionally was getting too much for me. See my post - the controller seems to have died, but I’m not sure.
