Single GTIL2 240v in the US?

The 240v inverter is designed to work on a balanced 240 v load. The single ct goes on either leg just before that 240 load. It works because the currents on leg 1 and leg 2 for a 240 v load are equal. The advantage of an 120 volt inverter on each leg is that leg 1 and 2 don't have to be balanced.

Grid-Tie Inverter with Power Limiter alternative? (EG4 6500ex?)

Interestingly the cheap inverter from Aliexpress is 1000 watts(really 750) and is supposed to work down to 21 volts (per setting) but I think it might cutout before then. I thought it might be the bms but maybe it's the inverter.

Grid-Tie Inverter with Power Limiter alternative? (EG4 6500ex?)

I see that the said Growatt has a mpp voltage range of 65V-550V. Does that mean that it would work with a 96 volt battery?

Grid-Tie Inverter with Power Limiter alternative? (EG4 6500ex?)

What would you reckon the battery specifications should be for the said Growatt?

Grid-Tie Inverter with Power Limiter alternative? (EG4 6500ex?)

I'm happy with what I've done which is self consumption of my low power solar and battery system. I don't need backup power - my utility is rarely out. I'm just not sure how long the inverter from Aliexpress will last. Regarding the Growatt inverter I mentioned: I'd like to know why the dc...

Grid-Tie Inverter with Power Limiter alternative? (EG4 6500ex?)

SirSelrahc. I'm doing now what I think you want to except I actually bought the no-name blue grid-tied 24 volt inverter with limiter from Aliexpress. I have the inverter connected a 24 volt lfp battery (I think now that 48 volts is better) and the ct is connected to the kitchen appliances...

Why do so many off grid inverters have an AC charger.

I'm assuming that you're talking about a stationary system - not boat or RV. Why not just run your loads from the generator's AC directly and only charge the battery with PV when available?

Growatt 5kW ES + Mid-Point Transformer explained but not AC input from grid

But if the autotransformer's center tap is not connected to anything than it's just like any other 240 volts transformer connected to L1 and L2. Tell me what I'm missing.

Growatt 5kW ES + Mid-Point Transformer explained but not AC input from grid

But if the autotransformer(I'm assuming this a transformer with a center tap) has its center tap(neutral) not connected to anything then it's just like any other transformer connect to 240 volts in your house. I'm guessing this is how the Growatt split phase inverter accomplishes bypass mode -...

Growatt 5kW ES + Mid-Point Transformer explained but not AC input from grid

I only mentioned a 240 volt appliance because many have transformers inside. Forget I mentioned that. Now I'm thinking that as long as the neutral from the output of say the Growatt 6kw split phase inverter SPF 6000T DVN-MPV is open in bypass mode it should be safe, right? Assuming, of...

Growatt 5kW ES + Mid-Point Transformer explained but not AC input from grid

So what's the problem with having the transformer connected in parallel with grids in bypass mode? How is it different than any 240 volt appliance in standby mode that's plugged in?

Growatt 5kW ES + Mid-Point Transformer explained but not AC input from grid

I read through the link that you provided. Do you know if the Growatt low frequency split-phase inverters do what you've done? I mean can I put the split-phase inverter between my main panel(N-G bonded) and my load panel(N-G bonded through main panel) using L1 and L2 from the main panel as...

Growatt 5kW ES + Mid-Point Transformer explained but not AC input from grid

Thanks. This is going to require some study on my part...
