Installing Sterling B2B - grounding question

Mike, The sterling instructions say to run the sterling neg to starter battery Neg. Are you suggesting I only run the sterling neg to house neg bus bar instead? And would you mind telling me why the departure? thanks

Installing Sterling B2B - grounding question

Mike, Thanks for your advice. I do have a couple questions. I would feel better about foregoing the ground (For my 12v system) and running a wire from starter battery neg to house battery neg. Buying the extra wire does not bother me. To be clear..will it be an issue if i run the starter...

Installing Sterling B2B - grounding question

Hi guys, Looking to install a Sterling BB1260 in my Sprinter van. My house battery bank is made up for (2) 200Ah 12V LiFePO4 in parallel for a 400Ah 12V bank. This bank is a floating system, nothing is grounded to the vehicle chassis. All of the electrical devices connect to my pos and neg bus...

Newb Question: Charging 12v Bank w/ separate 12v and 24v panels

Can you be a little more specific? Do you mean how do I have them connected, what are my charge controller settings…?

Newb Question: Charging 12v Bank w/ separate 12v and 24v panels

Yes, correct. My battery is 12V. Okay my bad, I was thinking of the panel as '24V'. Thanks for your help

Newb Question: Charging 12v Bank w/ separate 12v and 24v panels

Wouldn't one MPPT need to stay configured for 12V and the other be switched to 24V?

Newb Question: Charging 12v Bank w/ separate 12v and 24v panels

Hi guys, My van currently has (4) 160W 12V panels separated into 2 different arrays (each going to its own charge controller - i have 2). For space reasons, i will be ditching (2) panels and replacing with (1) Panasonic 330W panel. So the (2) remaining 160W 12V panels will be wired in series...

Does my PCM include temp protection

Sorry, one more question. Do you know if there is a temperature sensor I could use that would display a fairly accurate reading on the battery?

Does my PCM include temp protection

Protection circuit module. Google could probably further highlight the differences between it and a bms

Does my PCM include temp protection

I'm not sure which acronyms you're referring to. You asked about PCM. Was there another you're unsure of?

Does my PCM include temp protection

Lol why not? I’ve read it too but didn’t understand the implication

Does my PCM include temp protection

Could I ask what line(s) you read that lead you to that? Thanks EDIT: Nevermind, think I see what you mean. There's a line on cell balance and several on voltage protection.

Does my PCM include temp protection

Well that was the point of my thread, to ask about running a BMS. The response I got was adding a BMS is difficult when attempting to add to a sealed battery(as is mine). I guess it can be done if you open the sealed battery and attach to the leads? But honestly I'm a beginner and that sounds a...

Does my PCM include temp protection

Aah. Guess I don't have that. Do you know if there are any precautions one could take to keep cells balanced without that feature?
