I like to see it go into and complete absorption at least once a week, I'm thinking that'll keep the battery healthy enough. We're now in FL. Heading to the Bahamas soon and the short days are over so it'll probably be more than the once a week now.
Funny you mentioned the times absorption, once in awhile this setup will extend that 20 minutes just a little.
They did struggle to maintain the absorption voltage (I'm on a Sailboat and it's partly cloudy today) and eventually went back into bulk while I worked on my dinghy motor. When I got to...
I'm afraid I can't find how to set the sync settings.
I see how to set "Charged Voltage" but I don't think that would be 0.2 below absorption.
I did move the tail current to 6%.
Thanks, glad I'm not the only one with the (issue) that's not really an issue, just a curiosity.
I'll set it up and wait for the sun to fill it up again.
I almost understand peukert exponent.
I do do understand SOC.
I don't understand why when I changed the peukert exponent from factory of 1.25 to recommend 1.01 in my Victron Smart Shunt it lowered the SOC from 75% to 30%.
I can move it up or down with the same results using different values...
I've asked the question over at primuswindpower. com the new owners of Air Breeze, I'll post their reply and or any mod I make if and when I get to do it.
Thanks.
On the Air Breeze this is all handled internally, output is positive, negative and a ground wire.
It has a voltage output adjustment accessable on the outside of the case which is a variable resistor that controls the voltage regulating circuit.
This particular wind generator has been...
The connection is basically the same they are mounted about 5" apart connected to a buss bar (actually it's a fuze block) that then feeds the batteries.
The sun is down now they read
13.25 and 13.23 I suppose that's close enough for government work.
Thanks I'll have a look at the voltage when the sun goes down here in about an hour.
They are networked (or in my simple words" they do know each other " ?
Oh the wires and connections they are a plenty, too long part of the time too short once in a while. I haven't installed the panels...
Question about my Air breeze wind gen.
It's working fine and a good complement to solar panels on a boat because if it's not sunny it's usually windy.
Don't know how old mine is, someone was giving it away at an anchorage in the Keys a few years ago. It's ugly because the paint is flaking off ...
