Some of the Axperts can be connected in parallel - I am have emailed support to see if mine is, as it's not clear from what I have read on various pages . . .
There's a company Orbis Energy (https://orbis.es/) who I have already been in contact with about this - they assure me that it's possible with their Viaris UNI charger plus another piece OB709800 Viaris Solar, if it can work then it would be ideal ?
Hahaha - hmmm I don't like the idea of magic smoke ? can you point me in the direction of where I can learn how to integrate the Growatts with the Axpert? Thank you again! ??
Then if the Growatts were set to be disconnected when the sun goes down it would need to be a 'divert' from the output of the Axpert then go 'directly' to the house - right?
I have started reading it, thank you - I have seen this 'Parallel operation up to 6 unit (only with battery connected)' do you know if that applies to having 2 connected - I guess it would . . . ?
I started out with a 100w water turbine directly wired to lights and an amplifier which when the music was turned up the lights would dim to the beat ? that was in about 2004/5
Thank you again Tim! I was considering connecting the negative to ground, but was very wary of doing so...
Finally I have been able to get through to 'Master Power' the branded name of the Axpert inverter I have - unfortunately I can't parallel my inverter
So the way I see it is...
I don't charge it off the 3kW inverter, and I have only had the Axpert for a couple of years, no problems apart from that I have to play games with it to make it charge from my generator, most likely because the generator is a cheap one. I plan to use an EV charger that will work with the excess...
I am sure that this is a very simple question and I hope I can do it.
I am considering buying a Sunsynk 8kW hybrid inverter but I want it to work with my home built 48v lion battery - so my question is can I set user defined parameters for the battery in the configuration of the inverter...
So I could have 2 Growatt SPF-5000-ES connected in parallel, to the output of my existing inverter, a 24v charger to charge my existing battery and have the existing inverter giving me power at night/bad weather days - am I getting that right?
Hmmm damn - I thought I was getting close to a solution ??
Is it not possible to use a (or 2 in parallel as my system is single phase) grid tie inverters set up as zero feed? My only concern is that although the energy meter is there to stop feed-in I have seen them feed a small amount to the...
A friend has three 450w JA panels and wants to add to the system - I have some Canadian Solar 450w HiKu panels, but I am not sure if I can install them with his JAs . . .
Can anyone help?
Many thanks indeed ???
That's great news - I will need a 24v charger because I don't have room on my roof to keep the existing panels ?
I'm gonna have to figure out how to arrange my eighteen 450w panels, I was planning on 2 strings of 9 panels, but I guess with 2 Growatt inverters I would need 4 strings, right?
I have been doing a lot of research about this and have yet to come up with a good answer - I hope the community can help. . .
At the moment I have a 24v 3kW Axpert OMEGA UM v3 (it is branded as a 'Master Power') with approx a 5kW home built lithium battery and 1.3kW of panels - which has been...
Any idea of the standby consumption of the Growatts? or would they just power down when the sun goes? if they are not connected to a battery - I need to educate myself re connecting them to the output of my Axpert inverter . . .
Hi there, wondering if anyone knows how much power the Deye 8kw uses when it's idle - I asked a reseller and they said 'quite a lot' - not really helpful when designing my new system.
Also any thoughts on using one of these to charge my EV at 7.4kw when there is enough sun?
Many thanks! :)(y)
Hmmm that's what I thought re putting the batteries in series . . . ?
One last thing that I have thought of - if I am switching the growatts on and off with a changeover type switch, which I would want to also be disconnecting the Orion to avoid unnecessary self consumption overnight, will...
I understand that, but when configured for zero feed-in then the output from the grid tie must be variable, no?
In the end I think I'm going to go for a second Axpert the same as I have, then at least I will have 6kW to play with until I am ready to upgrade to a 48v system - the only problem I...
So here's the thing. . . .
Currently I have a 24v system, I'm in the process of making it a lot bigger to be able to charge my electric car.
I don't need more battery capacity for my house - but it looks as if I will have to change to a 48v inverter. . .
I have 2 battery banks of similar...
