The Max AC charging speed with the switch in the down position should be honored. So assuming I set it to 500W, it should draw no more than 500W from the AC input, but it seems to draw 1500. Am I misunderstanding the setting or does it not work correctly?

I have EG4 6500EX inverters running split phase along with EG4 Lifepower4 48V battery bank. I would like to add/test a Trophy battery. The Charge, Float and cutoff are different for the two brands of batteries. I am not sure if it is reasonable to treat them as one battery bank.
