  • Post in thread: AliExpress/AliBaba vendor options

I've been sifting through some threads to help pick a vendor for my next battery purchase and I thought I would compile some of the information I found here. I'm located in Canada so the vendor selection is a bit limited as some have shipping prices that are higher than the actual battery price...
  • Post in thread: Last fire.. :-(

Its worth pointing out that the short circuit current rating is only valid if the breaker/protection device is mounted as per the manufacturer's specifications (UL489). Most of the time din rail is adequate but some breakers require a mounting plate. The point I'm making is to be aware that...

I dont think I can update my original post now, but I have confirmation that BLMpow On Aliexpress is a different vendor on Alibaba. Shenzhen Jidian Technology Co. Store Link...
  • Post in thread: CATL 271Ah cell issues.

I haven't heard from Micheal since the 5th and you can see his last online date was sunday night. I would worry too much about the cells catching fire. LiFePo4 is one of the safest chemistries. If they survived the punishment of shipping in that condition, they'll be fine sitting undisturbed.
  • Post in thread: Soft Starters for Air Conditioners

That make sense. So then the block diagram showing the start capacitor is incorrect. Should be as per the below, before the Triac. It seems like you have a pretty good idea hows these work and I'm trying to build my own with an Arduino. Thats the reason I'm asking specifically how its...
  • Post in thread: AC/DC Charger CV/CC

I'm looking for a 1000W CC/CV charger and I was wondering what everyone is using for 13v LiFePo4 charging. (1S2P 4S2P) The price on the below looks great. I would add a voltage and current meter to it. https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4000012631001.html?spm=a2g0o.cart.0.0.68203c00NcOZPx&mp=1...
  • Post in thread: LiFeLPo4 Reviews. Trusted Suppliers/Brands to USA & Canada.

I tried to put together a list of vendors with reviews from this forum in the link below. Hopefully, this helps anyone who is looking. https://diysolarforum.com/threads/aliexpress-alibaba-vendor-options.19739/

Yes you are correct. 4s2p. Nice catch
  • Post in thread: A warning about aliexpress and a question

Mine was from Shop1102264570. That should have been the alarm bell. when I purchased them at the beginning of October they had a lot of positive reviews and a lot of user posted pictures showing full capacity. Looks like those all got deleted (likely because they were fake reviews).

Ah damn it. This is reading exactly how my experience is going.
  • Post in thread: 304ah cells. Ordered Monday arrived Friday

Has anyone tried shipping to canada from this site? The shipping doesn't seem outrageous at all.
  • Post in thread: Compression, Balancing, Reconfigure the pack

I've been reading around on the forum about compressing LiFePo4 batteries but my question isn't about how to compress the batteries specifically. When you're top balancing the cells (all in parallel, 3.65v) and the charge is complete, one would want to disassemble the compression, rearrange...
  • Post in thread: Soft Starters for Air Conditioners

In the two drawing/files you attached there looks to be a contradiction that I'm hoping you might be able to answer. In Cap Start Induciton Motor.pdf; It shows the starting and run capacitor after the Triac, which would mean the Aux winding (Run and Start Cap) would also get a ramped voltage...

Anyone have some input on what charger they use for LiFePo4 batteries at 14V?
  • Post in thread: Chinese ETFE Flexible Solar Panels

What is hte output like and how has it been going for hte last few months? I'm looking at the 100W version of these
  • Post in thread: AC/DC Charger CV/CC

Thanks! Yeah I have 3 of those boards but I wanted a high-power option for faster charging instead of connecting the 3 together. Thats a nice case for those. Would you be open to sharing the file? I dont have a 3D printer, but my friend does.
