This list the video where I got the idea on how to configure my battery.
It's the same configuration as this video except mine is 2p16s not 3p16s and mine is not vertically stacked.
My 2p16s 560ah battery has been working since October 2021 with zero issues. I'm off-grid in Northern Alberta Canada and only had to run my generator for about 14hrs so far this winter, I have used a minimum of 200L less/month of fuel compared to my 830ah AGMs I ran for the previous 6years.
I lined my 2p16s battery with 1/2inch concrete board, here's a picture before the lid went over the cells. The lid is made of 3/4 plywood lined with 1/2 concrete board .
I'm in northern Alberta and I run the same inverter with a midnite solar classic 150 cc. I just did the same type swap you're doing, my AGMs for a 2p16s battery using 280ah rept cells. The one thing I would add to her system is an auto gen start for the magnum inverter and a standby generator. I...
Ok, still don't care! To replace my agms would have cost me 12k CND before tax, drop in lithium 40k, these batteries all in with bms and all the testing equipment was less than 6k, so I'll say it again. I don't care!
They're the same as the ones at the beginning of this thread, just with different welded studs. I'm not going to peel the sticker, they're exactly the same as they were pictured when I ordered them and they've tested over 290ah. Honestly I don't care if they have different qr codes, they were...
My cells finally made it here today. All of them came in perfect condition (no bulging or dings) . Out of 36 cells 31 tested at 3.29, 4 at 3.28 and 1 at 3.27. My cells are the same 280ah REPT cells but I got mine from Basen.
I also got word mine are in customs in Vancouver, hopefully I'll have them in the next couple weeks. They were due two weeks ago, the ship was waiting to dock since July 1st and finally docked earlier this week.
The Vancouver port is backed up due to wild fires in BC shutting down or delaying rail traffic, last report I saw had 39 ships anchored of the coast waiting their turn to dock and off-load. I think all Canadian shipments from China come thru this port.
