I am in the same situation as you. The dc to dc charger I just ordered was Victron Energy Orion IP20 12/24-Volt 20 amp DC-DC Converter Non-Isolated, High Power. I hope it give us some great charging for years to come. Seems 24v charging is limited when it is DC to DC.

I am building a battery system and was wondering if its better to have two 12 volts with two BMS 100amp or 1- 24 volt with a single BMS 100amp? Using 3.2V EVE304Ah as my battery's. Thanks Joe

I started to to and read through the threads also, I have the 50dcdc/mppt renogy and the most amps that I am seeing is 10-12amps no solar hooked up. Also having a weird reverse current that comes from the 12v battery through the dcdc24v converter. It stops when the 7pin is pulled. Thanks Joe

Really it scares you? the word options mean that 12v inverter could be used if needed taken the the two 12volts out of series. You bolded the later but completely missed the first part. 12 volt independently if I had too.

So I do have a follow up, it seems the renogy 50amp only is putting out about 11-12amps, any suggestions?

Yes it takes awhile, I am doing it also and just get the new leads and be patience. Just finished my first bank 12.8v 3days. 304amphour. working on the second bank now.

Hey thanks for the response, I was having a hard time finding the 8s BMS. I did find some 4s BMS but your right about the extra cost. I like the idea of being able to use 12 volt independently if I had too. I do have one 24v 2000 inverter and one 12v 1000 inverter so it gives me that option also.

Yes that is the one I have. Also the alternator is a 370amp. Should be good? with two agm starting batts.

So when I first tried the system, it was connect. Then after I turned the truck off. that is when I notice the (I guess Back feed?) on the BMS app. Its disconnected now so battery's are resting.
