Hi I just found (refound) this forum and wanted to introduce myself. I have been “Messing” with solar on my RV for about 6 years now, and actually installed a grid tied system on a vacation home about 9 years ago using enphase micro-inverters, man has that one paid off in spades in California on...
Thank you, I designed it and we built it in our shop. We used 3 “Hall Effect” actuators run through a central control module via either a control panel or wireless remote. We do RV solar and electrical system upgrades here in AZ.
Interesting when I joined this forum 5 years ago I was a simple...
I
found them from the guy I bought the batteries from. He said he had 2 of the very first ones coming in. Mine will be regulating the charge between the alternator and will be on the downstream side of the battery isolator in my class A pusher
I have the 100A version, they make 2.
The Onan 7500 makes ~32A on each leg (Same Phase), the Autotransformer simply changes the legs to 180* out of phase, but in either case, I do have the 100A version of the Autotransformer😉.
I apologize if I misunderstood your question 🤔
Well, I have some anecdotal musings, but haven’t really documented it totally but here goes….. In January with the panels tilting to the south in AZ I was able to almost double the production with the max tilt (~51*).
2 weeks ago I was in Tucson at an FMCA rally and had to park facing south so...
So I agree that there is little need for the Quattros or the MPIIs 2/120. We do installs like this with dual MP (ones) for split-phase as there really is no benefit to using twos unless the space equation works, and even then just get the standard 3000W MPIIs, not the 2X120s as this is not...
I’m getting ready to swap out (6) of these for (10) 105Ah Lion Energy batteries that have been running on my 24V Victron system for the past 4 years. I am impressed with these batteries and really have no need for the victron coms with my existing Cerbo/712BMV combo ….. I only wished Victron had...
I have a 12/30 version ordered and it should be coming in next week.
Upgrading our AGMs to 6 Lion Safari 1300s and want to make sure I don't fry our alternator ;)
Are you planning to install at 12V or 24 or 48? (I would recommend at least 24V with that many)
According to EPOCH you can have up to 4 in series AND 4 parallel, in any case this is what they support.
I have 10 Lion Energy 12V batteries installed in pairs @24V so technically beyond their spec...
