BTW (not that it matters but) I would be ok with it taking 3 minutes to switch if the downtime was around one or two cycles. Why it shuts down the outputs for 3 seconds while doing its thing is what i do not get.

How long is a reasonable time? 20ms, 50ms, 3000ms? What does transfer time depend on? Why does it sometimes take so long? I suspect it takes the inverter 3000ms to achieve synchronization to gird. But why? Does phase order matter? I have Voltronic Axpert Max 8kW in 3phase configuration.
