Hi everyone! I'm a newbie, as regards solar. My wife and I just finished building a gym (12x20 shed), and we set up some shop lights that we bought from Amazon. They came in a pack of 6, but we're only using three. I have them set up, and I installed a light switch, that connects to an outlet...

Thanks! There's no harm to the light though, correct?

Hi everyone! I'm a newbie to solar. My wife and I built our own gym in a 12x20 shed. It's insulated and we're so excited! That said, we would like to have a treadmill run off the solar power. I know that treadmills suck a lot of energy, so we would have to build up the battery bank big enough...

Thanks for the reply. The treadmills I was looking at are in the range of about 650 Watts.

Hello all! I'm building my first solar system for a 12x20 shed to be used as a home gym. While I'm pricing out and checking all of my options for batteries, it dawned on my whether or not I can have them inside the gym. I know that some batteries give off some gasses, but my question is...

We plan on using it year round, about 3 days per week. It would only be my wife using it, as I'm not a runner. That said, it would be about 3 hours per week. As for the time of the day, that can vary.

Hi! If you're talking about the lines from where I'm thinking of putting the solar panel, then probably only about 6 feet at the most. If you're talking about what will be plugged into the inverter, then likely less (3 feet, roughly).

Hi there! Should have put this before but my 3000W inverter is what's powering the shop lights

Interesting. We may not be getting the treadmill for a while. For the time being, based on powering up the other things I mention, how much juice do you think I'd need? The gym will only be used about 2 hours per day.
