Thanks for your answer. As you can tell from my other answer, I found the problem to be the AGM dipswitch raising float-voltage disregarding programming. I think there is a newer firmware for my unit as well. I may as well upgrade, if I can find it anywhere :)

I did solve the problem. It turns out that by setting the dip switch for AGM/GEL, the charger automatically adds 0,55 volts to the float value disregarding the programming made. I found that explanation in another forum thread, and I gotta say some cursing did occur - but of course being happy...

Hi Eric, Thanks for your reply. As I both have the 500A shunt and a brand new Masterviwer5 I hope to keep the charger as well - although the fan is very noisy even a very low battery use. Well, I'll report back ;-)

Hi Eric, Did you ever solve this problem with the charger? I have a 70/12-3 as well, and I fear it is destroying my brand new AGMs. It Ignores charge settings as well and has been charging at 14.4 for 24 hours until I shut it off. Peter, Denmark
