I have a multimeter that can show me the volts up to 3 decimal places, but I cannot measure the amperage if it's over 10A
I guess I didn't get the question correctly at first ? tired and stressed, sorry guys
Hi guys!
I assembled a 8S 24V 280Ah with the Heltec 200A 2A bms but I'm experiencing weird issues with the charging or, to better say, it barely charges. I'm not getting any error out of it and it doesn't look like it is turning off the charge, but in an entire night with the inverter-charger...
All right, thank you @Steve_S for the deep explanation
The gap between the cells keeps increasing even if they are not under charging
To make sure I understand correctly, shall I disconnect the BMS and connect them in parallel and charge them via the PS until they are at 3.6 and then reconnect...
All right, let's try to softly sand the terminals and redo all the connections
Thank you guys, btw, I was completely in the dark before asking to you here
But it discharges without any problem, I mean the load works just fine ?
I double checked the leads and they all report the voltage of the cells correctly
The bus bars are "heavy duty" rated for up to 300A, but I will check them (in fact I checked only the posts on the batteries, not sure about the bus bars). i bought them off Amazon https://www.amazon.it/dp/B09MRWBM8W
Yesterday I tried again and it's getting even weirder, now the BMS is stopping...
Hello guys!
I'm designing my van electrical system (a post will soon follow to see how bad it is and possibly fix it ?) and I would like to charge my 200Ah diy lithium battery pack via both the mppt and the alternator.
Being LiFePO4 I understand that a common DC-DC like the Victron Cyrix-ct...
This is another weird thing: the charger shouldn't be able to provide more than 50A, but as you can see in the screen record I did on the app during the charge from grid it fluctuated like crazy showing even ~90A of charge.
The inverter/charger is a RP 3024E and I both tried setting it with the...
Yep, I used the password 123456 to get in the edit mode and set it to be Lifepo4 (the top right of the buttons) and adapted the continuous charge to 150A since it was lower by default (will probably never reach that current, but I raised it anyway while testing workarounds)
All right, I will definitely go for the Orion! Thank you guys, you were my light in the dark!
The link is wrong(actually old) as I initially planned to have 2 x 4s 100Ah 12v in series to make 100Ah 24V but ended up buying a 4s 200Ah 12V, cables were already bigger as I would have used a...
Thank you Arthur, I watched both videos and definitely learnt something! I will take care about checking everything and make sure to replace anything that doesn't look adequate
I made the internal copper bars myself with 5mm x 2cm bars and I might need to check they are good enough, in the...
I balanced my cells(200Ah lifepo4 3.2V) connecting them in parallel and charging them at 3.4V 2A for about a week, charging during the day and leaving to rest but still connected in parallel overnight.
When they all raised to 3.4 I connected them in series and to the BMS, then charged them to...
