I think I'm doing the thing I'm not supposed to be doing, but unsure how to fix it. I texted the guy who rewired my system. Will let you know. Ditto on identifying where the wires go, because I'm guessing you don't want to hear "into the wall." Manual...

DCH = "DC Home," yes it reads the charge controller. I don't know why the battery would have discharged by 11 percent, the sun was still high in the sky and I've been charging all day running very little. I don't know what "shunt settings" are or how to find them.

I have a Rover 100A MPPT charge controller. "The DC Home app is made specially for the off-grid community to monitor your Renogy powered solar solutions, share your DIY solutions in the community, and learn more about the solar energy from Renogy users worldwide." I think we probably start...

I was wrong they’re not in series I called the guy who wired this for me.

Another update they worked at about half the normal wattage all weekend and then randomly stopped working again today.
  • Post in thread: Solar Panels Undercharging

this is now a concern because my SCC keeps randomly going out. I don’t mean shutting off, I mean it randomly stops reading any charge at all, voltage, amps, watts all zero

Will contact Renogy about the programming issue, the manual wasn't helpful. If I'm understanding correctly, the issue you are describing with regard to the left image is that there are two cables connected to one of the terminals and there should only be one. I should instead connect one of...

Yeah I'm not bummed about being divorced. Just in the middle of things and she's trying to take my kid away because she thinks this is California in 1981 and not Arizona in 2023. I do have slides, so do I need a 50A stepdown? Is this a thing I can get at Home Depot or True Value? Sys Batt...
  • Post in thread: Yet another minisplit setup question

Greetings all. I live off-grid in the Mohave Desert in Arizona which means plenty of sun (even in the winter months!) but also means it gets very hot. I'm looking to set up a minisplit in my place for this summer but unsure what I need. I currently have 2x12V/200AH lithium ion batteries that...
  • Post in thread: VictronConnect / DC Home Accuracy Issues

I am not on shore power. My inverter is a Vevor 3500W pure sine wave inverter. I don't believe it's also a charger. I think my charger is an Iota. It has something called a "2-stage smart controller for use with DLS" connected to it. I'll grab one. So a couple weird things that are possibly...

I have 11x100W panels on my roof but my charge controller says I’m only getting 65W and granted it’s not midday sun but the sun is high in the sky in Arizona. Any suggestions about why I’m not getting much in terms of wattage?
  • Post in thread: Solar Panels Undercharging

    Yes, in parallel
  • Post in thread: Solar Panels Undercharging

My SOC was reading at 89 percent when I noticed this. It’s now at 70 percent. I have considered charge controller programming is the issue but that doesn’t tell me how to fix it.

It's connected to this. https://www.acuitybrands.com/products/detail/1185705/iota/dls-27v-15a-converter-and-charger/15-amp-acdc-power-converter-and-battery-charger-for-dc-load-operation-and-24v-battery-charging How do I do that? Also my inverter is 24V and won't work anymore if I do this...

4x200AH Ampere Time Lithium Ions 12V 3000W inverter I don’t know what SCC is I calculate SOC by reading it off the charge controller
  • Post in thread: Solar Panels Undercharging

Any recommendations on how to wire them to get more juice?
  • Post in thread: VictronConnect / DC Home Accuracy Issues

What is the absorption voltage of the MPPT? How would I find this? Another thing I noticed is that even when I leave the system all day with no inverter on just running my propane fridge and other 12V stuff it only charges up to 99% on VC. I have 4x12V 200AH LI batteries wired for a 24V...

My SCC is a Renogy Rover 100A. My inverter is a Rich Solar 3000W
  • Post in thread: VictronConnect / DC Home Accuracy Issues

No idea / still there as far as I know. I do run an inverter. Charge controller currently displays 26.5V, which I think is a yes. I don't have a voltmeter, but I can probably have a friend come by tonight with one.
  • Post in thread: Solar Panels Undercharging

Just talked to a solar guy I know and he said my voltage is ridiculously low. Is this a wiring issue on my roof?
  • Post in thread: VictronConnect / DC Home Accuracy Issues

Yeah, I am a super novice at all of this and not the handiest guy in the world anyway. My father was a Boston Ironworker. Precisely zero rubbed off. Just got mom's useless bookworm shit. I got five acres I live on and 40 I'm selling because of the divorce. It's got a house. Wanna buy it? Eh...

One string. The voltage was like 12 and change. Should be over 100.
  • Post in thread: VictronConnect / DC Home Accuracy Issues

I have a 24V system with 1500W of solar panels wired in series-parallel with 800AH of LI battery. The 24V system is new, I rewired my 12V system. I'm not getting accurate readings from either VC or DCH. Example: VC currently says that I have 100% SOC but my voltage reads as 12.11 (8.3A...
  • Post in thread: VictronConnect / DC Home Accuracy Issues

How do I confirm that the shunt settings are correct? Weirdly, VC now says that I'm at 89% and running -2.54A and -33W while DCH says I'm at 100% SOC and the batteries are running at boost.
