JK was actually a lot better about this than I thought they would be. I sent them a message through the Aliexpress contact system, and they were back to me by the following morning with a website that has all the downloads on it. The instructions are in both Chinese and English, but they're...

Thanks - that makes sense. Do you have a wiring diagram for this setup that I can take a look at?

Folks, this is going to sound crazy, but I ordered a JK-B2A25S60P bms to run a motor on a sailboat. I went with such a big bms because I anticipate some moments when I might be pushing an awful lot of amps out of the battery, and I wanted to be oversized just in case. But when it arrived, there...

That's really helpful, Ray, and thanks for the email link. But the pinout isn't exactly the same on mine. I don't have an "ACC+" or "ACC-", or a "G". I do have a pin labeled "5v" that I'm wondering if it's where I'm supposed to add 5v to kick start the unit. Anybody else have any thoughts on this?

I have a JK-B2A25S60P that I’m trying to puzzle my way through. Most of my electronics knowledge has come from building circuit boards for things like guitar pedals and stepper motors 20 years ago. I made a solar setup about 5 years ago, but it was fairly small and used lead acid batteries. The...

I'm thinking that I'll tie my positives from the battery to a bus, wire the inverter charger through the charge contactor, and then run all my loads to a discharge contactor wired to the positive bus. If the inverter sends too much juice to the battery for some reason, the BMS will shut it down...

On the tiny 4-pin header, which pins did you attach it to? And if you don't mind my asking, which tiny 4 pin header are you talking about?
  • Post in thread: Mpp or Growatt?

Hi all - I'm looking to get a 3000w all-in-one inverter charger to run a 48v, 280ah LFP bank on a sailboat. Both Mpp and Growatt have similar models that look to do what I need. Any preferences on one brand over the other? Bad/good experiences with either? Thanks - Chris

I didn't realize that one could charge from shore and solar at the same time. Isn't that kind of dangerous for the lifepo batteries? Wouldn't the two chargers interfere with each other's charging profiles?

Hi Burke - I also have an inverter charger, and also am currently using a single contactor, but wired into the charge leads from the BMS instead of the discharge ones. Do you have the system working otherwise? The BMS app will allow you to turn the charge and discharge capacitors on at will. Is...

How big of a resistor are we talking?
  • Post in thread: JK-B2A25S60P 500amp bms - how to connect to battery power leads?

Thanks again so much. I ordered it. Did you have any luck finding a wiring diagram for the system? I had assumed that one would come with the BMS unit, but there was no documentation at all. I'd like to make sure that I'm understanding the pinout correctly for all of the leads, and that I...

Sonic - the lowest contactor with the resistor before it on O1 and O2 translates to "pre-charge contactor." Unfortunately the resistance value is unspecified. I'm trying to run it down now. The contactor above it translates to "discharge contactor."
  • Post in thread: recommend a good 48v mppt switching charger

Hi - I'm setting up a solar system on a boat with a 280ah 48v battery made up of eve cells. I'll have two 435w panels putting out about 80v each, running in parallel. I'm trying to decide if it would be better to run an all-in-one inverter charger, like the growatt or MPP, or if I'd be better...

I got mine up and running. How's it going for you?
