On My Growatt there is a Label on the right side which has the model number and specifications. I have the 3000TL LVM and it has the Small Roundish display in the Center of the Unit With the "Growatt" label at the top of the unit.
For those who use GroWatt's online monitoring setup here in the US... I went to this URL ( https://www.growatt-america.com/ ) and attempted the login. It stated that For a BETTER BROWSING EXPERIENCE WE HAVE ASSIGNED YOU A NEW ADDRESS: http://server-us.growatt.com .

Found a Great post under the resources/planning and sizing tools/Outline for selecting System Voltage. Had a great attached paper which described the benefits of 24v vs 48 and so on.. THX..
So if the power goes out..and the Battery kicks in, does the risk of putting power back out on the Grid happen... I assume if I don't throw the MAIN that power can move out of the system?
Question for ya.. I notice that the manual for my Inverter says recommended AC Wire Gauge is 8 AWG. Ok.. So If I look around and I find 8 AWG on Amazon which discusses how good it is for Car Audio ..am, I on the correct product?? Is Car Audio pushing High AMPS? Or is it a different Beast...
Hi Folks, My Inverter (Growatt 3k) recommends a Max of 40 Amp AC input. If I use a 30 Amp Circuit is there any NEGATIVE (besides slower charging) to the battery? I am just using the system as a GRID backup at this point so slower charging won't be an issue (i hope).
Thanks
Well, I am using a Square D gen Panel and only powering the one side (2 Breakers (2 tandems for 4 circuits). So far it is working but I am haven't tested under a full load since it is the Refrigerator (Random power needs) and a Water Pump. The other 2 are just some LED Overhead lights so...
Hi Folks, So if I desire a Grid backup system, where usage "Should" only be limited each year, which is best, 48v vs 24v. I have read that 48v is more efficient but I thought that if I decide to add a couple solar panels as a emergency charging source 48v would require more of them to do the...
Hi folks, I was looking at this package for a home (on grid) power backup. (https://bigbattery.com/products/48v-off-grid-system/). I assume folks have installed and use the Growatt 3000TL Inverter. Does this Inverter work like a UPS in that it switches to battery when it detects and issue...
I agree..but I don't have access to the well head at this point (under a Cement foundation of an addition). So it's a new WELL and then the new pumps. Plus the Jet is noisy!
Is there an issue with 48V systems with Solar Charging with not enought PV output to the system to charge? I havn'e dipped my toe into the Solar Panel aspect as of yet but I was concerned with the Minimum Panel Voltage/Output for the 48V system..
Hi Folks, I want to connect AC IN from my MAIN Panel to my GROWATT 3000TL via this manner: 40 Amp Breaker (Single Pole) ... Direct Wire into the Inverter. Now.. Is that overkill? The Wire for a 40 Amp Connection (8/3) is pretty beefy and pricey. Is that overkill? I have seen many folks...
I like this use of the Sub Panel and intend to duplicate it...
DThames stated in this post ( https://diysolarforum.com/threads/second-post-installing-a-subpanel-and-using-battery-backup-for-grid-outage.15715/ ) :
Use my example. I put in a 60amp sub panel. I pulled 4 critical house...
Hi Folks. In starting an energy audit i started with the most important (and problematic ) part of my needs..and that is my water well pump. It is a Shallow Well Jet Pump with the following Specs: 115/230v 3/4hp 8.0/4.0 Amps ..per the label. How would you calculate the pumps needs if it...
Heh... I guess "it depends" is not a great answer. Lets say 2x an hour on average. I figure after 10 PM it may kick on only 1 or 2 times all night/AM due to no usage.
Jim, Thanks a bunch for the picture of your setup. I just got a Growatt 3k and a 48Volt Battery Kit (to be used as a Backup for GridDown) and was wondering on how to best get the thing setup. I have an older Generator Transfer Switch as was just going to toss that and go the SubPanel...
Ok..thanks.. so I had a "light bulb" moment when looking at your math. Since I am at 120V I have to use the Higher Amps (8) but if it was run at 220 then would it only use 4 amps? And does this kinda play into the more efficiency of a 48 volt vs 24 volt system.?
Math can be fun! ;-)
Ok.. Probably a silly question but... My Inverter recommends 8AWG wire for AC Output.. This looks like it should be good for 40 AMPS output then. I am going to Output the Inverter into a Generator Sub Panel which has a 60 AMP Breaker. Do I size the WIRE for the OUTPUT (the 8 AWG) or do I size...
Hi folks, I received the following info from BigBattery and thought I would post it in case someone is looking in this direction. This is from the 48V Off Grid System they packaged together over the past few months (

Hi Folks, I just pulled the trigger on a 48V Power Backup system. This includes a Growatt 3000TL LVM Inverter. What I WANT to happen is that the Inverter is connected to the MAIN POWER (200 amp service) to provide power to charge (or keep charged) a 48V battery. I don't have a need for a...
This is from the Inverter... am I reading that when using a Battery as the power source (this is a backup system), The AC Output is limited to 25Amps based on the Inverter? So I should only expect when all is working fine that I would be putting out a max of 25 Amps? So would I rate the Wire...
