It is highly recommended to use a battery balancer to extend the battery service life when multiple batteries are connected in series and/or in parallel. I have 4 Deep Cycle Hybrid GEL Battery 12 Volt 100Ah running in series to get 24v, they seem to be running just fine...

I built this just for fun, then I realized this can cost money. But any way, I have a shed (7'x7'x'9) for storage and a green house (6'x6'x8'), I ran some power to both, with 2 40w fans to more the air. I won't be running a lot or watts but I want it there just incase I need a little more power...

I found this set up with 8 panels, but I was going to use 4- 12v battery and run them in series to get 24v and the parallel the two sets to get the 200aph

I have 8 100 12v panels, all the same from Renogy, 4 12v 100aph Gell Battery's, 60amp MTTP. 2000W 24V Inverter. I'm going to run the battery's 24v, but the panels is were I some what get lost, running the panels in series. What do I expect to get at series? Is 8 panels enough or to much...

So maybe I was thinking you can add more panels on a 24v then 12v... so with my 40a mttp I can have twice as many panels then 12v setting...

I was under the impression when you run 24V and the panels in series the watts double.... Still lots to learn..
