I wanted to share some data on a pretty new complete laundry solution. I know there are similar units, and lots of stuff from Europe, but GE is now making an all-in-one laundry center. The difference is that this one is full sized.
So, we picked one up.
I have no affiliation with GE or any...
Sure I can share... I am not an affiliate of anything in any way, I make no money off these links, and these are products that worked for me but you may choose different brands/sellers to accomplish the same thing. Please delete this post if it violates some rule.

Okay, so I had SA running perfectly on an RPi and all was well. Then, I started to get jealous of all the Victron folks and their fancy high-class (and reliable) touch screen interface. This sent me down the road of trying to find the best touch screen solution for SA -- which was basically a...
I'll chime back in and add what else I experienced and where I ended up going eventually.
It is true that I had the external HDMI/USB connected touch screen working well. However, I encountered a couple of road blocks to making it viable for a local direct connected interface to SA:

Yeah, I may go this route eventually... I just need to do some research on how to put a tablet into like a kiosk mode with browser full screen -- I was just amped that SA supported an external monitor. I am not know for taking the easy plug and play route on things like this.

I wonder will these ports work (with the most recent SA code) to enable an HDMI output of the SA dashboard to an HDMI monitor?? If so, I will go get a micro HDMI to HDMI cable and sexy monitor...
@jpimlott -- Can you share the brands/models of some of your components; TTL to USB adapters, USB hub, and the 12V and 5V din supplies? I'd like to link 4x BMS to my Pi/SA and, well, why re-invent the wheel?! Many thanks in advance.
Okay, so 4th monitor actually works (I tried it again just after posting my question thinking I had to be missing something).
It is a bare capacitive 10.1" touch screen from Amazon. Seems I needed to plug in the HDMI, the USB wall wart (power), **AND THIS IS THE FIX** a 2nd USB from the Orange...
The very latest version of SA for Orange Pi (not Raspberry), when run on an Orange Pi 3 LTS, supports the HDMI video output to a monitor as a direct connected local display. This is all I was looking for when I started this journey.
The fact that this touch screen works to allow you to change...
