    12.8 lifepo4 batteries?

Thank you, that makes sense. My point of confusion is the general discussions I have seen regarding the charging curve calling 13.2 or so as being the resting voltage of a lifepo4 battery after it being fully charged and sitting for some minimal length of time.

    12.8 lifepo4 batteries?

I understand, but I am combining that with the fact that there are people on some RV sites who have purchased these batteries and are reporting doing full charges with their stock converters and only getting 12.8 volts. Others have responded by saying this is a product of faulty stock...

    12.8 lifepo4 batteries?

Could someone please tell me what some lifepo4 "drop in" battery manufacturers mean when they call their batteries 12.8V batteries? I have seen this painted on the face of Power Queen, Chins, and other Chinese brands. Lifepo4 batteries (12V) should charge with 14.6 volts and at rest should...

    Battleborn caught on fire

The big issue I am thinking of is the fact that the overcharging was at the third position even when swapping out the batteries. I couldn't help but notice that that position was not more than a couple of feet away from those giant inverters and presumably the output of the cooling fans. It...

    Renogy DC to DC charger...interesting

I have a Renogy 50 amp DC-DC with mppt hooked up the same way as the OP (I think). I have the DC- DC and the battery in the back of the pickup bed. Initially, I was only getting 20ish amps when I should have been getting 50 amps. As best as I could discern, I didn't have a smart alternator so...

Is this battery pack ok? One cell seems weak?

I purchased a reBel battery and I am very pleased so far. It has a low temp shutoff as depicted on the BMS that you can see via Bluetooth on your phone. You can upgrade your Bluetooth program for 6 bucks to where you can change many of the variables although that is not advised. You can see...

Who can i hire to help me install solar to my cargo trailer using Renogy DC to DC dual charger w/MPPT using tow vehicle's battery/alternator to charge

Just to clarify, I wasn't talking about "solar systems". I was talking about a Renogy DC-DC charger-mppt wiring that goes from an automobile's battery-alternator then runs under the vehicle to the rear of the vehicle and gets connected via a Anderson type connector to a trailer. Large Uhall...

Who can i hire to help me install solar to my cargo trailer using Renogy DC to DC dual charger w/MPPT using tow vehicle's battery/alternator to charge

Every shop is different and the customer has to make the decision whether or not the shop personnel are qualified. Our flagship (Large center) U-Hall in Portland, ME is very qualified. I have talked to personnel in equipment rental places that have dedicated electrical maintenance and repair...

Who can i hire to help me install solar to my cargo trailer using Renogy DC to DC dual charger w/MPPT using tow vehicle's battery/alternator to charge

It is a lot easier than you think. You might try U-Haul or any other shops that install auto hitch systems, winches, snow plows.

    What is considered "storage"

The CEO of BattleBorn is on video saying that their batteries can be stored ANYWHERE BETWEEN 50% AND UP. He went on to say that the important thing was not to store at less than 50%.

    Remembering Amy

This is not a good way to start off my day. I think I have probably watched all her videos. She came across as such a warm and friendly person.

    Giandel 2200W-4000W testing

OL means over load as per the manual (the manual is basically useless IMO). Yes, the inverter apparently thinks 1500 watts is too much for the battery, but then maybe the battery, although it only has 3 cycles on it, isn't producing to specs? How would I test the three parts to see which is...

    Giandel 2200W-4000W testing

As I said, it wasn't a real scientific test. I didn't write the numbers down. The voltage was falling and the error message was OL (I believe-it was a few weeks ago and spur of the moment). Another problem is that the inverter readouts are very difficult to read. It has it has what I would...

    Giandel 2200W-4000W testing

I have a Giandel inverter and have experienced some problems with it (I think). It supposedly can generate 2200 watts-4000watts (can't remember the exact number). I did some very rough testing with it with an electric kettle that uses 1500 watts of power. I attached the kettle directly to the...
