I see your point. It was kind of a freak year, but I did see it get down to -20F in MA in the past 6 years. Looking at the chart for the panel that would put VOC at 118% --> 581 --> blown inverter. Typically in the winter I'd be at 110% VOC so even then my margin would only be 8 volts...

Thanks for all your help. Max DC input on the inverter is 550v so a 10 panel should be 493 VOC / 410 VMP at so I'll be running at ~75% on the 2 of the MPP and ~45% on the other 2 MPP. I think I've left enough margin safety so as to not push the inverter too hard.

Just to clarify I'll replace the Yaskawa 5.7kw inverter with the Growatt 10kw inverter. The max PV load of the Growatt is 20kw. I figure the 25 455w panels max output is realistically ~10kw max since STC is 11.4kw. By the time the five SW panels ramp up, I think the SE panels will be at <66%.
