Yes agreed with Wibla, BMS rating is the peak sustained output of the BMS. It's best to have a BMS about 2x times higher than the peak amps of your system, for coolness and efficiency.

I prefer common port, less wires to fix to the BMS, easier to change around.

Whatever works keeps the cells balanced, running at conservative voltage max and min ratings? If you can keep them equalized at a conservative max charge, at the same low max volts, wouldn't that be fine?
