I received the rs232 cable from current connected and the replacement 485 cable. Short version is i still get the 61. I can succussfully connect the batteries to the pc but looks like their software is the older V2.04 and it doesn't show the protocol config like the new bms software version 2.5...

Thinking about this some more. I think that thread where you could set the transfer time was for the 6000ex not the 6000xp.

this is resolved now. Had to shut down completely the inverter and then power back up. Working as intended now

Thanks for the response. Its been up and running for about 6 months. I did recently add 2 more batteries and setup solar assistant. Its odd that it doesn't always do it sometimes can go weeks without doing it but then once it does it seem like it does it for a handful of days and then goes back...

Thanks for the help on this! Mine is actually the sungoldpower 6548, just received it. I went back and watched Will's video where he received the sungoldpower and compared the firmware to his mpp 6548. For what it's worth the ones listed here have newer firmware.

What are some of the issues you are having? Is the comms with the SOK batteries stable? I have the same batteries and considering upgrading from a 6548 to the 18kpv

I tested some more this time with all 3 batteries instead of just the master. Thinking that just maybe the master was also programmed to see the 2 other batteries and that was the cause of the 61. Long shot I know, but I figured might as well try. This time with no AC power on I got the 04 error...

With PC's I know they can have comm issues if the clocks aren't sync'd. Is there a clock setting on the bms? I'm grasping at this point

how do you set that? what menu item/number is it? I think i recall another thread where someone was asking about that and if there was an negative to setting to 10ms vs 20ms.

I watched closely and I didn’t get the 04 error but after a minute or so the battery icon starts flashing like it’s communicating and with 30 seconds it get the 61 alert.
