Recommendations needed please. Inverter for RV.

Adding a second shore power connection would require the same work as moving it. Breaker box is at the back and inverter is going in the front with the batteries. Or were you suggesting something different? Are you saying add a secondary input just for the MPII, like a small 30A or 20A port and...

Well, after all this, I may be back to the Multiplus. Its cheaper and has much more functionality. Even though I may not need the added functionality, paying less to get it just makes sense.

This wins the internet. How the hell did i not find this myself? I checked the victron page and three suppliers. I'll go on a hunt. P.S. Thank you for the info on the VA thing. I did not know that. It makes sense. Thanks again. I knew I could count on this forum for good info. EDIT: Of...

Recommendations needed please. Inverter for RV.

The biggest load is the hydraulic pump for the slide. It can draw up to 30A at 12 in normal operation. It isn't scary at all. I know that if i decide to go the 48V route, it will add at least one component to my system. I would also put a small 12v battery in line with it to handle big inrush...

@sunshine_eggo , That is a lot to unpack. For clarification, I referenced the Multiplus saying that it was my original thought. I have decided that I no longer need the power assist feature. I also do not want or need an inverter/charger because it would require moving the shore power connection...

Recommendations needed please. Inverter for RV.

Hello everyone. I am revisiting the system plan for my Fifth wheel. I originally planned on using a Victron Multiplus, the one for 50A RVs. The main reason for wanting this was its ability to use incoming AC and battery power at the same time. so I could use my tiny inverter generator to run my...

Doesn't taste the same a plain ol' stick butter because they add oil to it. Plus, straight out of the fridge, it isn't all that spreadable and it must be refrigerated.

The link I shared had 15C and 20C options. I'm no electronics engineer. In the interest of keeping this circuit simple I was hoping to connect this online with the heating pad. Given the low wattage and low voltage, would this be possible/recommended?

Believe it or not, the USB coffee warmer was the first thing we looked at. They are supposed to keep the coffee at 120 to 135°F. That's thru a ceramic mug. I'd imagine a butter dish would get a bit too warm. Maybe if we wanted to have melted butter for lobster. Lol P.S. I sent her that diy...

I'll tell you if you promise not to steal my idea. Lol. A friend of mine is tired of having hard butter in the morning after leaving it out overnight in her camper. So, we want to add the heating pad to the bottom of a butter dish and power it by USB.

Thank you all. I knew this forum would set me straight. I probably should have mentioned that this was not a normal use case like a battery warmer. However, I suppose my use is pretty similar. I've seen rv tank warming pads with thermocouples on them could I use something that simple? I don't...

I need an inline USB current display with adjustable current limiting capability. I am finding lots of meters but can't really tell for sure if any of them allow for setting a current limit. I want to make a USB powered heating device but want to limit the heat. Once I come up with the desired...

Generator pops it's GFCI when I plug the rv into it after inverter install.

I kinda thought that after making that comment and re-reading everything else posted here. Right now, I am boondocking and need the inverter to run a box fan to keep the inside of the camper below 80°. I'll try out some of these ideas at another time and try to report back. Thank you everyone...

Generator pops it's GFCI when I plug the rv into it after inverter install.

When I was researching, I saw that AIMS had a good reputation in the marine industry. I don't know if they have changed hands or mfg since then but I still see mixed reviews. Never saw the neutral/ground bond issue in any research before now. I had this thing in a box for almost a year because I...
