I have an older battery from QH Technology. I have been unable to communicate with its RS232 port. It has an older Pace BMS. I'd like to try PBMStools HS1.0.6 - where did you download it? Is it still available somewhere?

Very impressive unit. Big like Pace, Seplos, TDT, etc. Since it has upgradable firmware, it is very tempting to pre-order. If the firmware upgrading process actually works. Likely that there will be some bugs in the first versions, but then with firmware upgrades these can be fixed.

Yes that is the metal one I've tried. I also have some plastic MC4 tools from Enphase - no help there either.

Like most people's solar panels, my solar panels have MC4 connectors. After they have been outside making power for a while, it is sometimes necessary to disconnect them for troubleshooting, new wiring configuration, upgrading and so on. But every time I try to do that, I am so frustrated...
