Background
We lived off the grid in NW Montana for a decade. Currently live in the middle of a national forest with the power going out regularly. I've used 10 M75 ARCO panels for the better part of 30 years. Built my own system. We also had a passive solar hot water heater for years. Both of those systems have lived out their lives. On the grid currently and have been out of solar power for a decade or so.
Current or Future Solar Power System
Not sure where to go from here. I'm an old Vietnam vet and will not be able to install the system myself. Been without solar for a decade or so.
What we want:
We live in a remote area in the middle of southern Oregon. Farm/Forest property that we own. Our power goes out almost every year.
We want to be able to feed back into the grid but have the option of battery power grid independent, especially during power outages.
I am a member of the Douglas County Amateur Radio Emergency Service (ARES) and a volunteer for the Tiller Volunteer Fire Dept. Both of these require power back up to our radio system.
Current electric bill is $85/month on average.

We've used solar since 1980's. I had 10 M75 ARCO panels that we used living off the grid for a decade in Montana. They are now pretty much used up. We also used a Solahart hot water system for years. Leaning toward REC/Panasonic panels. LiFePO4 for batteries.
