Yes and sorry for not getting back. I never did solve the press escape method, however MPP sent me a replacement board out and now I can connect to the inverter with a computer to collect the logs. They sent the board out mainly to solve the faults that I was trying to get them the logs for but...
Sorry if I didn't come back with the outcomes earlier.
I had 2 issues. One was a faulty board on the inverter causing F51 or was it F52 faults and the other was I was using the wrong type of RCD. I was advised from this group on a PM to swap the breaker over to a Class Type A. I swapped to the...
I found in the end that these were leisure starter batteries but sold as deep cycle leisure. I got a refund and went LifePo4 and haven't looked back since. The system now just works and needs no interventions.
Either you inverter is trickle charging attempting to float them or the batteries are just recovering a little after the load has been removed. When I was on lead acid it would bounce back up quite a bit after a load was removed.
Yes it was all sorted. The board was faulty and has now been replaced. MPP sent me the new board and I fitted it. I also now have a 5.2kwH battery and the system is running great.
Had my 5.12kWh rack battery from Fogstar for a few weeks now and I think its fab, they have done a superb cell match and I've had great customer service for the few questions I've had as well.
Well done Fogstar A++
For MPP6048 to Pace BMS using the Pylon protocol for comms. I got the MPP side from the inverter manual and the Pace BMS side from Fogstar as my rack battery which uses the Pace is from them.
MPP side - Pace BMS side
Pin 3 - 1 (RS485B)
Pin 5 - 2 (RS485A)
Pin 8 -...
Despite others telling you that you'd be better off with more batteries, I believe you are doing right. I'm in the same boat and can only last off grid if we have some sunshine or at least thin clouds. However like you the price of another battery isn't justifiable at the moment. Maybe once the...
Don't think orientation matters for LifePo4 battery banks. From my reading they can be mounted any way that fits in with where you want them providing connecting wires all equal.
Fogstar have been around a fair number of years and have good customer support. If you can get 460Ah for the same price of 300Ah then go with that providing the dimensions and weight are ok for your installation. I have their 100Ah 48V server rack battery and its fab and uses the great Pace BMS.
