    Renogy Scum!!!!!

that's what I would expect, 12V would be 9ish % capacity and the bottom knee is below that, batteries I wouldn't buy from renogy myself, but I do use their hardware as a normal working guy can't afford Victron.

DC to DC Charger - Ignition Switch Alternative?

you can pick any source that is hot when the car is running and not when it is shut off. I used an upfitter switch that was only hot when the truck was running in my pickup. that way I have control of when its charging and when it isn't

Well that was a slight miscalculation.

ya I just may have to go that way, no one seems to carry 26-24

Well that was a slight miscalculation.

ya, I was going to see if I can find some locally before I double stuff up. I could also dig out another plug set and make a jumper with larger wire if I have to.

Well that was a slight miscalculation.

well hit another snag, went to start throwing together the battery in 12V configuration yesterday and found my BMS used 24AWG wires, now I have to find some 24AWG ring termanals......

Well that was a slight miscalculation.

ok so, I got it up to 3.58V and unplugged it while I was at work so I could finish the 3.65 on my days off while I could pay attention to it. Just went to check the voltage and after 5 days of rest the batteries are at 3.48V does that make sense I was expecting 3.4V at the highest. any they...

Renogy 50A Dual Input MPPT ongoing charging problem

weird, the Bluetooth on mine loads up in like 2 seconds once I hit the connect button, but to tell you the truth its more of a novelty, I only use it to change my battery charge settings and when I'm showing people what it can do in that regards. I would never look at their batteries my self...

    Automatic Transfer Switch

for an rv, I people use it for generator back up, so when they start their generator it will switch over and start charging their batteries, I use it myself for the inverter, so when I am boondocking and I want to use a 120V appliance I just turn on my inverter and the transfer switch energises...

Renogy 50A Dual Input MPPT ongoing charging problem

I wouldn't necessarily call it garbage, is it as good as the blue, I don't think so, but I know about 30 people including myself using Renogy stuff and not one has had an issue, the only place I read about them being garbage or failing is on forums like this and I often wonder if people are...

    Upgrade RV factory installed system

what is your typical length you go camping for? what I did was insure I could cover that with just battery power, then added enough solar to replace my overnight usage by early afternoon. that way I can still enjoy a normal trip if something breaks down with the solar. for me I typically go...

    Automatic Transfer Switch

I am thinking about it. I have to replace mine as it failed last season.

    Upgrade RV factory installed system

while that used to be true even more places in BC are starting to ban gennys or reduce the hours, I have been to some places now that don't allow them at all, but for provincial parks yes that is the hours you have quoted. for the most part I never hear a genny in the provincial parks, last...

    Upgrade RV factory installed system

so a few things you should look at doing, if you are adding two more 200 watt , set them up in series with the other two so you have a serries parallel set up and change the controller from the PWM to a MPPT controller, the efficiency gain alone will be worth it. but if your running two fridges...

New system lasting less than an hour.

I wouldn't mind buying the blue stuff, but I would have to get another job to afford it

Well that was a slight miscalculation.

ya my first battery I built I was flying by the seat of my pants and didn't know much about the top balancing so I just put it together and let the BMS top balance it. I wanted to do it this way to see if I notice any differences. as for my spare, it is the one that was replaced because it had...
