On page 20 of the Sol-Ark 15k manual, there is an option to use the grid terminal for the generator when off grid. This allows for 2 key features - 200amp grid block rather than the 100 amp Gen block - smart/dump loads can be hooked up to the 100 amp Gen block After reading through the EG4...- Stripes

Go for rock with adequate slope away from the house for drainage IMHO. Kinda looks like a low spot from the picture.- Stripes
