Solar powered LTO battery for 5v use below freezing.

I found a 10 watt, 6v, solar panel with an open with 7.3v open circuit. Hypothetically, if I created a 3S battery with the 2.4V 3000Mah LTO 23680 cells, would the battery get fully charged when their was optimal sunlight, and not be in danger of getting overcharged?

Solar powered LTO battery for 5v use below freezing.

Is there less need for BMS if 2P, and the boost converter?

Solar powered LTO battery for 5v use below freezing.

Thank you. Good to know about the RAK19016 power module. I don't have a preference for higher voltage, necessarily. I'd like to make something that works in below freezing temperatures, and is simple. I didn't understand how many options I'd have until I started considering that these LoRa...

Solar powered LTO battery for 5v use below freezing.

My radio (WisBlock) is supposed to be one of the more energy efficient Meshtastic LoRa radios. It seems to fluctuate between 4v, and 4.5v. Yet, many of the enclosures out there run from one 18650. I had not noticed a voltage regulator, but they must be stepping up the voltage, right? Either...

Solar powered LTO battery for 5v use below freezing.

I don't know how I managed to miss this until now; https://www.etsy.com/listing/1312727008/3w-meshtastic-solar-base-station-with?show_sold_out_detail=1

Solar powered LTO battery for 5v use below freezing.

Thanks! I considered stepping up, but figured it would be less efficient.

Solar powered LTO battery for 5v use below freezing.

Thanks! Will be very cool if it works as intended. :D

Solar powered LTO battery for 5v use below freezing.

Thanks again! Most of the panels I am seeing are 18v open circuit.

Solar powered LTO battery for 5v use below freezing.

Thank you. I will consider the 6S LTO, 12v solar panel, 10V drop out 5V buck regulator, strategy. If I went with 5S instead of 6S, in attempt to get closer to full capactiy, do I run the risk of overcharging? If I went with 4S, I'd fully recharge cells, but would have less useful capacity if...

Solar powered LTO battery for 5v use below freezing.

I'm interested in building a solar powered LoRa relay that will work at below freezing temperatures. The LoRa device requires 5v (though somehow they seem to work fine from one 18650). I've considered using two 18650s in parallel, and configuring so that it only charges when above freezing...

    Show us your Rack!

There is a $200, 10,000 lb (2,500 lb per shelf), Member's Mark 4-Shelf Industrial Storage Rack, that is occasionally available if you're lucky, at Sam's Club. 77" W x 24" D x 72" H I thought of it when Will showed his new yellow shelves, but didn't mention it as I've never actually seen them...

    Leaking Electrolyte from Bigbattery Powerblock

Is there enough room to stand up four cells in each partition so that the case will hold them in the correct orientation, and then just rewire? I would assume the case would likely need to be a bit taller, and a bit shallower front to back, to perfectly accommodate that arrangement, but I...

Simultaneous Charge/Discharge (pass through?) on all-in-one systems and impact on battery longevity. Considering Bluetti AC200 and EcoFlow Delta

I like the MPP and Growatt All-in-one for the ability to "pass through". I was wondering if it wouldn't be a better match to use lead acid batteries, as they would be healthier fully charged the vast majority of the time. Or, would it be better to use lifepo4, and set it to charge to something...
