    The LV5048 is a 48V system, but yes, I see what you mean on setting #29 page 19 of the manual where the lowest setting is 40V, but then on page 28 it shows a Low DC Cut-off Voltage of 38.4V, which is what I was focused on, but I may be misunderstanding that. I wonder what the reality is.

    Both good points. Thanks for the replies. In keeping with the "Keep It Simple Stupid" montra, and expansion potential, I went ahead with the LV5048. Should be here in a couple days! Now I just need a charge profile and BMS for two Tesla Model S battery modules. Any suggestions?

    I'm wanting to put together a 48VDC MPP Solar 5000 watt all-in-one system, and in looking at the options, it seems that the "230VAC" versions are not only cheaper, but have more of the features I'd like to have; bluetooth, remote LCD, etc. So, as far as I can tell, I would save @$500-US going...
