Hi Everyone,
@radurus thanks for the files. I couldn't find any mention anywhere if the fimrware is compatible with SPF3500es inverter, so i decided to give it a try. I can confirm the firmware is compatible. I updated the device following the instructions and everything is working as expected.
Hi There,
Would like to report success in connecting Daly BMS 200A to Growatt SPF 5000ES inverter. Here are the key working settings:
Daly BMS 200A hardware version BMS-ST103-309E / Firmware updated to DalyBmsApp_103_309(11_221213_INVT).s19
Growatt SPF 5000es - 2ng gen comm board / Firmware...
Hi there, i noticed that the new version (with fw 101/102) of SPF500es comes already with inverted fans (sucking air from the inside). However they show an average 10C increase in temperature readings in comparison with old versions running the same load, as they're set in parallel.
Not a big...
Hi there,
I use Grott - Grottserver to talk to Grotwatt servers - please check out. Grott
the parameter you need is total charge current. It is number 34; Confirm before trying with change and see method. Cheers
What the new firmware does is preventing the fans to be most of the time close to full 100% power. Now they do variate speed according to device load. That makes much more sense, but if you keep your device with high loads, it doesn't really help that much. My opinion is that it worth it the...
Thank you @casbury67 the upgrade code works and I have updated both of my BMS's 200A 16s - everything is working as expected, rs485, can and plyon protocol which i use to connect to Growatt inverters.
Would be nice to have a changelog but looks these Chinese companies doesn't know this word :)
@Steve621 I was never able to change protocol in mobile app. Had to connect it to the computer and change with PCMaster.
@TolSol very valid observation. Indeed, i asked Daly to have RS485 enabled on the two devices and i remember reading somewhere that some boards with dean connectors (even...
My two cents, some setting with battery or BMS is telling inverter to not charge. Inverter does not have a great finetune control of PV and by not having anything to do with extra PV power, it disconnects.
Does it happens under bigger AC loads or with battery at lower SOC? cheers
EDIT: looked...
Just got the cooler filters, planing to do it as soon as it starts raining again. I will take opportunity to apply some vanish to protect against humidity as i have them installed at the cellar.
My new Growatt (with fans to extract air from the unity) peaked 48.7 degrees on the inverter! Below...
I'm relying on node-red pid and homeassistant to do similar thing for rainy days where i change my batteries overnight to use them on peak hours. i have a limit of 6.9KW and it's easy to go overpower, so the PID controls charge rate. Even with some delay for about 10 secs it reacts before the...
LoL... planning to upgrade my solar array to 2P6S and the equipment is still on legal warranty. So it was a calculated risk. :) so far working fine... it kept all 3500VA limits also, therefore pretty sure the fw recognizes the board is being deployed to
Hi there, 4* and 11* are different hardware and you cannot upgrade 40 to a 113 firmware, it wont work (the firmware). However i have an 62 device, which is also another hardware, in parallel setup with an 113 and it is working fine, 100%.
I cannot test if a 4* version works ok with 11*, but it...
This is sad... i asked in Brazil about fw upgrade and got the same answer "updates are not necessary for south America users" - that is totally nonsense for me. Why a given upgrade wouldn't be applicable for a geography? specially when it comes to an offgrid inverter.
At least they could made...
I had the same, my BMS Daly came without NTC. Tried to figure out a way to start it but nothing worked. Tolday the NTC arrived and it started working as it should. So, not going to work without the sensor.
This is the standard behaviour, as the inverter goes into the "hybrid" mode and thus injecting energy into AC. I am not sure but thinks it injects according to the demand, if PV is generating more power than consumption, excess goes to battery, and other way around. This mode does not inject...
Hi there,
Sharing my experiences with SFP 5000ES and DIY Eve 280ah 16S / DalyBMS 200a + 5A active balance module.
I built everything in November and had the inverter set to USR2 battery type, set float and charge power to 58.4, in Dalybms set soft and hard upper cell voltage limit to 3.60V...
