Micheal, Thank you for trying to keep us (that have damaged CATL shipments) informed on what is going on. I (and I am assuming others) were really getting worried / frustrated from lack of information with respect to what you are doing in the background. With any luck in a week or two or three...
  • Post in thread: Leaking Electrolyte from Bigbattery Powerblock

This comment may not have as much to do with BB as Will's testing. I think Will needs to have the products that he tests be purchased under someone else's name. Will is getting to be too big of a name in this industry and chances are if he order something the company will make sure it is...

From the looks of yours they faired pretty well compared to a lot of us. You also got them a lot faster than many of us. I think the majority of use ordered in Feb or Mar.

One suggestion for the acceptance of delivery is to as soon as you get the tracking number you can go to UPS / FEDEX and tell them to hold the delivery at your local UPS / FEDEX location for you to pick up. That way if they are damaged you can just tell them to keep them. I was one of those that...
  • Post in thread: Anyone Running A AC Unit From A Modified Sinewave Inverter

Thanks for link to "gonewiththewynns" about their solar. It is a bit out dated 2016 but has good basic information. It gave me some ideas but honestly I am not sure I will have near as much as an issue as they have. My AC unit will run on a 120VAC 15A outlet plugged into my house on a 50ft...
  • Post in thread: Anyone Running A AC Unit From A Modified Sinewave Inverter

On my RV I want to know if anyone is been running a air conditioning unit on a modified sine wave inverter. The plan is to use a 3000W inverter to be able to run the AC unit for a couple hours a day. I am trying to decide if I really need to get a pure sine wave inverter or if a modified sine...

HaldorEE, Thanks for the comments. As for a generator, I really like quiet. As for batteries, I have ~7,500W for less that $1k. A little money, but I would not say that much compared to the overall cost of the RV.

Micheal, I just emailed you pictures to the catl_debacle@outlook.com for the damaged / wrong cells / scratched out barcodes. Please let me know that you have received these so that I am assured that I am on the list that you are complying. Thanks, Tom B.

Micheal, Does this apply to my order. The order was for 8 new CATL 280ah but they shipped 4 new CATL 280 with bar code in tact but were badly damaged in shipment and 4 what look like used Lishen cells, badly budged, bar codes scratched out also badly damaged in shipment. I PM you the pictures...

Suferdudemi, Ok, I stated to fill out our form but it really does not give a good idea of what I ended up with from my shipment. I would suggest having a entry for more description or details. In my case I ordered 8, new 280Ah CATL cells. What came in the shipment was one box of 4 cells...
  • Post in thread: Where to locate DC-DC charger for Truck / Trailer

I need a few opinion so that I can figure out pros and cons of where to locate my DC-DC charger that will charge my lithium batteries in my trailer from my truck while driving. My truck has a 300A alternator. I am installing a 560A lithium battery bank in my trailer (yes a bit of an overkill...
