Well, i'd be the guy not to see Will's post about the LV2424 hybrid is not for beginners. It would be great if you guys could maybe assist in some of the configuration settings, especially with turning off the grid feed and assisting with charge and discharge cutoffs.

Goal:
My goal is to power my water well and guest house with my solar system. To power it completely with solar would cost more than what i want to spend right now, so i will supplement the power requirements with the grid as needed.
Equipment...
1.) Is it ok to use aluminium lugs for the grounding my solar panels or should they be copper?
2.) Is 10 gauge wire thick enough? I have 10 panels and the run is about 40ft to the earth grounding rods.
I have two LV2424s in a split phase config.
I attached the two hybrid units to my 24v 200ah battery, configured the split phase and all the other parameters. Everything worked great and the batteries showed fully charged. This was monday. I checked it tue and wed morning and everything...
Will, first of all, I appreciate your videos. They have been a real blessing to a novice like myself and provided me the courage to take on a solar project. I will elaborate more when I post my design for more experienced people to comment on. Here is where i am today.
