So I'm pretty good about monitoring my system daily to make sure my system is working properly. I installed everything last November and it's been rock-solid since I installed. Inverter was on firmware fAAB-1717. I have 6 EG4 LifePower batteries and 24 panels split into 3 strings. Usually...
I see #2 and #3 with my system that uses the 18kpv as well. If you hit refresh on the page, it'll usually switch to only pulling from batteries / panels within 30 seconds or so, but I agree...it's annoying.
I need to wait a month to see how my avg kwh changes, but here's some rough #'s
Old system used about 660 kwh per month
Estimated new system should be about 32.4kwh per month and most of that will be the circulation pump, not the actual heating part
I built a pergola a while back to hold 12 panels. I did concrete my 4x4's into the ground tho about 3 ft. I went out there during a storm recently (60-70mph winds) and the thing was barely moving. After that, I'm not too worried about wind on my pergola. As to your issue, they do sell metal...
Ok, I completed my hot tub project this week! I ended up buying a wifi controlled smart switch that has a temp sensor:
Inkbird 308 wifi
It connects to the tankless water heater and turns off when it senses the temperature at 98 degrees.
I put the circulation on a basic smart plug that...
Something similar happened to me, I have 18kpv + Lifepower4. One of my batteries got so low, it shut down and the rest went on charging happily. It ended up being out of balance badly enough to slowly get lower and lower voltage. The solution was to separate out the one battery and get it to...
I installed an O3 creator in my tub a year ago and it reduced the amt of chemicals I use in my tub dramatically.
Sooo! I started my install last week. Some parts went well, others, not so much... As to the actual tankless..that worked out well and installed properly:
I haven't installed...
I think that is a great idea! The only issue I see is if you want to get in the tub during a period where it's over heated, that might be uncomfortable. I live in Houston where it gets really hot during the summer. My hot tub rarely needs to heat even overnight during that time. Also, I...
I just read that a heat pump is a bad idea since hot tubs usually sit around 98 degrees and in the cold winter, there's no way it can pull enough heat out of the air.
