I have just recently installed a system in Texas that does exactly what you want.
The system is:
2x 12KW sol-ark's
2x 30KW LifePo4 batteries with 2xJK BMS's (i built them)
22 KW PV south-facing roof
The Sol-ark's running in parallel, and batteries are in parallel as well.
House runs all day on...
Hello,
I haven't found any solution to it (yet). I am not using a battery with the H6. The H6 when the grid is down feeding my house with 240 split phase and/or feeds my charger/converter.
I would say, you can use LiFePo4 battery bank, but it will have to be up the tesla powerwall specs...
Hmm, that sounds very high for geo, mine pulls about 25 amps, it's two-stage and always starts on the second stage first, and if needed ramps up to the first stage but no high current spikes...
I am grid-tied as well but after last year's hurricane season, I have made some changes to go off-grid...
I would go with Delta H6, it's a hybrid one, gives you 120/240 split phase. Mine is set up like this:
12.5KV of PV to 2xH6's to 2x 15KW POWER JACK LF PURE SINE WAVE inverters to 2x48V 280AH LiFePo4 BATTERY BANK. Power Jack will either pass through 120/240V to the load or charge the battery bank...
When you decide to buy one, go for the one that has available a vent kit. This kit will allow you to place the hybrid WH anywhere inside your house.
It has an inlet ( like an air return on HVAC) and vent outlet. The vent kit lets you install it whenever you want.
The rule of thumb is if you...
I am searching for the same answer, I have six Delta H6 6K inverters. All I have found so far is: you can connect a 400-600v battery bank to it, but I don't know if the inverter is going to "communicate" with the battery bank which is one of the most important thing.
To be honest with you, I don't trust the Y connectors at all, had the same problem, my inverter was shutting down, error message: ARC fault, I had to re-crimp the MC4 connectors
Just make sure you have enough headroom, they are pretty tall and they still need to have some clearance above them. They also require an additional condensation line. I put them in every home I built in Florida, mostly in the attic. It is 1/2 ton free A/C unit in your attic.
Hello,
If I were you I would go with SolarCity Delta H6 Hybrid inverter (, it works off-grid without batteries, gives you 120/120 0r 240v split phase for larger appliances (good for an HVAC mini-split). I have 10 of them and I can't be happier!
Of course, there is a small issue, it was designed...
