    I was crimping 8 AWG wire with 8 AWG Anderson connector. This is what the tool is for. The crimp is holding but not what it should be. This is the same tool that was asked about. You can see how it worked for me. I would not recommend in my opinion.

    I was told by Renogy not recomended to use the load terminals on the Rover 20A mppt. If so why are they there? So I hooked up an Iceco cooler and a USB port to charge cell phones.     Wow,!!!! I was actually coming on this forum to find a good crimper review. I bought this very same crimper. My opinion is it is junk. Why??? Because the rotating AWG wheel has so much clearance. The crimp lug goes sideways. It does crimp the lung but it not a quality tool by no means.
