I was told by Renogy not recomended to use the load terminals on the Rover 20A mppt. If so why are they there? So I hooked up an Iceco cooler and a USB port to charge cell phones. Directly to batteries. Worked fine. But on the LED screen on the Mppt doesn't show any load information this way. So...

I thought this was a perfect place to get into. From experienced people who already have built battery banks. Point me in the right direction to start reading. Thank you very much.
