  • Post in thread: Connecting Solar Generator/Portable Power Supply To RV Inside the RV

Just posted a very similar question. Didn't see this one. I'm going to the same method. A Bluetti AC200 somehow connected inside through the shore line circuit. I think you would need a switch to eliminate the actual shore line cable and plug. If you just splice in another line inside you would...
  • Post in thread: Bluetti AC200 connecting with extra battery?

I've got one. Wired a cable that goes from shore power cable 30amp to the AC200 20 amp outlet. Power the whole RV. Keep the panels portable. I can pull it out and take it all with me where ever I want. I would have spent a grand wiring and installing a comparable system that isn't portable.

I have a little different set up for shore power. Mine has a 30amp male plug end on the shore line that usually is plugged into whatever the shore power supply is. So what I got yesterday was a female outlet that I will put in a box in the utility compartment. The other end will go into the RV...
  • Post in thread: Best method to connect solar gen inside RV at invertor/charge controller?

I'm in a class C RV. It has 6 gage wire running everything. Should carry a decent load. Just think I'm pushing the invertor limit. I don't know how forgiving the ac200 is with a modified sine power source, (variation in voltages) pure sine is for sure the way to go but I'm going to find a 400w...
  • Post in thread: Best method to connect solar gen inside RV at invertor/charge controller?

I will be using a Bluetti AC200 and plugging in shore power directly to a 110v outlet on it. However when traveling I want the option to charge from the invertor 110v outlet in the house system. (Basically charging the Bluetti through the alternator when running down the road.) Side note: I may...

We put a watt meter on the shoreline plug and shut off everything in the RV. Then one at a time switched them on and off. Made a list of each item and watt Draw. FYI the microwave drew 18watts just plugged in wanting to know what time it was. It now stays unplugged unless we need it.

Yep. I was thinking along the same lines. You can get varying lengths of the pv cables on amazon. 10 gage. I already have a 20 & 30 ft. For extending the panels to dun while parked in the shade. I thought about a couple shorter like 8-10' to tun them out the same way. Otherwise I have to...

    Oops sun not dun ;)

I've got a pure sine replacement on the list. Not going to risk it. Just want to try charging it while driving from A-B.

1st pic inside where Bluetti sits. 20amp plug. 10/3 wire to an electrical box in the utility bay with a 30amp RV outlet in it. (2nd pic) The yellow ext cord plugged into the shoreline with a 15amp adapter is from my house. I plug the shoreline cable into the 30amp recept. and the 20amp plug...

Thanks. It's nice. Mine is specific to our RV. Includes each and every light fixture and combinations, appliances, phone chargers, blue tooth speaker chargers etc. Still working on it.

Yep. All going in a sortable spreadsheet so we can total up any combination of draws and see exactly what the usage is.
