You can do this multiple ways. In my area code says cannot use flex conduit inside a structure. I didn't get an inspection but I wanted to make sure I followed the code requirements. The EMT in the upper right of the photo runs to an EV charger in my garage. I still need to do the sheetrock...
I have two strings of 4 545w panels and they are 49v panels. Right now it's early morning and it's raining. No solar coming in at all but they are reading 163v. So even in those conditions I generally will see at least 40v on these 49v panels.
If you’ve been using the January beta version of SA and you upgrade to the March 5th beta build just know that they moved the 6000xp controls from the Power Management tab (lightning bolt tab) to the settings tab. Scroll down to the inverter section and click on the Settings link there. This...
I believe I ran 8 THHN - that's good for up to 55 amps and what the manual calls for. That or 6 is good.
I would just plan on needing it one day. The inverter has a great transfer switch. You may want to be in grid backup mode and charge at the same time. Better to have that extra power...
I'm like 95% sure I read somewhere that you can't mix and match the LLs and the PowerPro (first one) so I'd bet you can't mix and match the budget one either. I'm having some buying remorse myself. Wish I had the budget PowerPro and not two LLs.
It's a certificate error. Can't navigate to a HTTPS website without a valid cert and this one expired yesterday. The EG4 webmaster will have to upload a new cert.
If you use the monitor.eg4electronics.com site for monitoring your inverter then you'll get the following warning when trying to navigate to the website. The site's certificate expired yesterday.
@EG4_Jared perhaps you can give an update on this?

Yes you can do all that with the 6000XP. The charge limit is configurable.
For running the loads I have mine running like this: when the batteries drop to 20% the loads transfer to the grid connection and only the solar charges the batteries until they get above 30% then the loads switch...
Fixed. I clicked “Quick Charge” in the app, let it charge the batteries at full power from the grid for 1 minute, then clicked it again to turn it off. It transferred back to battery. That’s got to be a bug.
Yep that is my next step. But I wanted to know how I could get it to transfer without that if nothing more than my knowledge.
I’ll triple check all the connections - that I do monthly. But honestly I could have brushed against the handle and tripped the breaker myself for all I know. The...
100% sure it’s getting voltage. Tested with a DMM and it’s showing in the app and in SA. Actually it’s charging the battery at 50-60w for some reason. So I know it sees it. I’ve checked and rechecked everything and it’s all solid and secure.
I was doing a 1 month in test making sure my cables were tight. When I wiggled the battery cables it tripped the 200a battery breaker on the 6000xp. The inverter went into grid bypass mode - using my grid to power the loads.
I flipped the breaker back on and checked all connections and...
