Funny, I just had the same experience this weekend. When I first wired my 4S1P Daly BMS I could only get 7.7Volts out of the P- lead (even though I had a full 13.4V across the 4 LifePo4 batteries in series aka at the B- lead) For reference I have a (4) 7200MA LifePo4's and a 30 A Daly Smart...
OMG ! I LOVE YOU GUYS ! Yes that is the answer ! I never knew that you could scroll through those , I touched the screen everywhere and couldn't do it.
Thank you so much for the info - hopefully this thread will help others !
They make single BMS 4S2P BMS's out there. BestWay makes one. Here is its spec sheet and manual, it can even be monitored with Bluetooth Go to the end they show the smartphone showing all 8 cell voltages
YM58 - after entered 1,2,3,4,5,6 try hitting set AGAIN. It always have to hit "Set" again after I type in the " 1,2,3,4,5,6"
Yes. Parameters stick when I have 65535 in sleep timer. Here is my software . I’m on an iPhone.
I just hate this flaky software. It’s driving me batty too. I...
I'm pretty sure Will is very well aware of 4S2P BMS's they are out there. These batteries are being sold out there too for example - https://www.alibaba.com/product-detail/12v-200Ah-4s2p-lithium-iron-phosphate_1600051803670.html?spm=a2700.details.0.0.12f26bc6FjCnMn
No its there , yes I agree hard to follow . But it isn't really "2 separate batteries" its 8 Lifepo4 cells and it monitors all 8 cells but in a 4s2P configuration. So the great thing is that it will try and keep all 8 Lifepo4 cells "balanced" . Instead of hooking up 4 leads for 4 cells you...
People might think its an " abnormal thing for a BMS to do" but its a very smart thing to do . People are always trying to make sure Lithium battery banks in parallel are "in balance" and it takes a lot more intervention in case one or two cells go out of balance in 2 different parallel...
I'm ordering one of these batteries soon, So I will report back. But its 200 AH bank using 8 100 AH Gotion Cells so we should know soon https://www.alibaba.com/product-detail/12v-200Ah-4s2p-lithium-iron-phosphate_1600051803670.html?spm=a2700.details.0.0.12f26bc6FjCnMn
From the specs I read it protects it as one 200AH unit. If you want two separate 100AH batteries and the ability to just shut down one if it goes bad then you need two BMS's
Thanks - Yes I paid for the full version. I'm very surprised no one else has tried to use this feature. Having an alert for overvoltage / undervoltage or whatever come to your phone (obviously when you are in bluetooth proximity) seems like a REALLY great feature . My use is as a...
I'm going to have to get one to sort all this out. Gonna be interesting lol I will admit you are all probably correct, would be so much easier if I could talk to someone live .
Yes I set a lot of parameters in Bluetooth app. Here is a screenshot of the app on my iPhone when I was changing the actually SOC of my batteries from 86% (which was wrong) to 99%. After I hit the “green set” it asked for a 6 digit password - just type 1,2,3,4,5,6 and then hit set again and...
Thanks. I’m away at the moment. I’ll try and order a PC UART cable and downloads that software and try that. Too bad I couldn’t DI ir with Bluetooth software.
Texas-Mark,
Thanks for that update. I have had the same thing happen to me just this past week. I have a small prototype setup 4S with Daly on 4 "32700" LifePo4 batteries. (Supposed to be 7.2 AH -- closer to 5.3 AH). I left the little prototype set up last friday @ around 65% SOC when I...
Help - I cannot get PC sinowealth software to read any parameters of Daly 30A BMS , but I can see "PC Master" gets reading from the Daly BMS so I know serial link works. (The BMS is Model Number BMS-ST030-303E)
I've downloaded multiple versions and all sorts of parameters and reloaded and...
I have 2 Questions on connecting current carrying wires for JBD BMS (in this case 100A Smart BMS) -
First Question -- How do you people wire these to the battery terminals or negative output battery post ? They are definitely too short as is to reach the terminals in my case I am using 100+AH...
Hi, I have a 100A JBD BMS using the Xiaoxiang App on my IPhone. Everything works fine, but I can't seem to change anything on the "Notifications" page. I can enter a number (in this case notify if cell less than 2.875 volts and then if less than 2.86 volts) but I cannot change the 'greyed out'...

I was wondering if anyone else has noticed the phenomenon I am experiencing . I bought a small LifePo4 setup to get familiar with Lithium . I purchased 4 small 7200 MA-Hour batteries and a 30 Amp Daly Smart BMS.
After some time I messing around I finally got the BMS 'started' and the...
I have the same application question as you. From what I have read you might 'possibly' shorten the life/power efficacy of the LifePo4 over- time . The LifePo4 Electrolyte (Lithium Salt is the term I heard) might migrate away from some of the "jelly roll" pouches on the top and instead of...
I might just do that later after I get my big prismatic lifepo4 cells and tie it into an inverter with a 1200 watt hair dryer for a while.
Curious this hasn’t been brought up before by others here. This is a common way these popular BMS’s are cabled.
Interesting . Looking other peoples bluetooth screenshots of their BMS it says "SH39F003" in the battery code section .... but mine (2nd screenshot) shows Battery Code of "20200306" interesting
Yes I am able to modify all the parameters now. Seems to work fine but some things like SOC readings drop over a few days even if there is no load and Amps not read under 1.2 Amps by Daly BMS. Working on those issues now
