I have a 8S 24 volt 280 Ah battery. While balancing the individual cells this spring, through my complete incompetency, I wrecked 1 cell. Does anyone know where I can buy just one cell?

Thank you. I'll do the same. Since I already have a 12 volt Lead Acid 400 watt system, I'll keep it for winter use with a battery warmer. My initial plan was to set my BMS to disconnect well above the danger point. Now, I think I'll do what you do, disconnect the LiFEPO4 batteries. Thank you...

I understand that you shouldn't or can't charge a LiFePO4 battery below -20 C. Does it hurt the battery if it drops below freezing, if it's disconnected? Does it degrade the battery? I plan on using a BMS with a temperature sensor. My system will be in an unheated cabin, while not in use.

I've built a few 12 volt lead acid systems and now am planning to change to a 48 volt 800 or 1200 watt LiFePO4 system for an off grid north woods cabin.
