    UL Batteries

Also noted Relion's 100ah battery has some sort of ul listing for cars, not sure that I saw it on your list? Not wearing glasses,so I could have easily missed it.

    UL Batteries

Not sure if it is relevant, but the new hybrid battery/power pack Dr Prepare 100ah LiFePO4 battery is UL listed as a power pack.

Old panels need to go, need suggestions for new ones

You have a 40a mppt controller, why not buy a used residential panel? You can sometimes buy them for $200 for 400 watts. Then buy a cheap 100ah deep cycle battery. If it hasn't been getting full, may already be trashed. What is your application?

    Parallel Overkill BMS Success

It looks like you have them in series? I don't believe they can be used this way (I think I read parallel only?). Hoping others will chime in.

New guy w/ same old ? about best budget battery - 100ah LiPO4

I really like my lisuateli lifepo4 so far. Rumor has it that the low temp charging disconnect works. If you are going bare bones budget, it or HQST are what I would consider. Bump up the budget a little bit and SOK is really hard to beat.

World's least expensive 12V freeze protected battery???

I also ran a small discharge test. I had used about 96ahs at 11.77v, running about 900 watts. Called it good, feel like it will hit 100ah. Noticed BMS will cut it off somewhere around 105a. Battery charges to somewhere in range of 14.2 to 14.4v on a 20a LifFePO4 charger.

World's least expensive 12V freeze protected battery???

Interesting. I think mine went up to somewhere around 14.2 to 14.4 ish?

Cigarette port causing short circuit on controller

I think the other poster is on the right track. Your inverter is likely charging a capacitor at start-up and exceeding low amp rating of load. That's a guess. Try his suggestion on precharging and if it solves the issue when plugged in, you have found your cause. I have high amp 12 volt power...

Replacement BMS for a SOK battery

And that does nothing to disprove what I have said? The problem is, with household/ RV electrical systems, there is never really a set load. You can't guarantee that one more appliance isn't going to be plugged in. Should you design a system using dissemilar batteries without BMSes capable of a...

New SOK 100ah Cells Out of Balance

Did you check for loose connections? Can sometimes be an issue if one cell begins to act up.

Replacement BMS for a SOK battery

You can't use them in parallel because the battery will attempt to supply power proportional to its size relative to the total ahs. The 200ah SOK batteries have the same BMS as the 100ah batteries, which means with a super heavy draw that BMS will kick in and dump it all on small battery before...

    SOK and Furrion

Dumb question, but what kind of controller do you have and what are your panels and configuration? Open voltage and how wired? May have nothing to do with the batteries. Most stock controllers are lower amp PWMs. Let's start there and work backwards.

    SOK Troubles (user error)

He said 17plus. Which depending on panels (if residential) could be on up over 100v, depending on how many and how they are configured. If the BMS failed, no idea how many volts they were subjected to- I highly suspect that since SOKs can be wired in series that it was much higher than 17v!

    JBD BMS app disappeared

Hi, Currently using two 120a JBD BMSes. I have an android phone (blade) and recently my JBD app has disappeared. No trace that I can tell. When I try to reinstall, it won't let download any version that I can find. Any ideas? Worried a virus has popped up on my phone somehow. Ideas? Katie
