Thanks Dan! This is what I was curious about with the SolArk. I’m thinking of building a grid-tie system with it, and if I assume that my average daily usage is 20 kWh (when planning panels and batteries), then it sounds like I need to add 2 kWh to that for the SolArk. (Plus additional for...
  • Post in thread: Ryobi Zero-Turn Mower SLA to LiFePo4 Conversion - (Updated - Build Complete With Pics!)

Does anyone here have the 115Ah (54”) mower? I’m interested in doing the LFP conversion eventually but wanted to see what others are doing for replacing the 115Ah batteries. (FWIW the wear curves on the 115Ah Leoch batteries look a lot better than the 100Ah)
  • Post in thread: Anderson SB120 to XT60 Female; where to buy (USA)?

Hi folks -- I have a Ryobi riding mower with 4 x 115 Ah 12V AGM batteries in serial (48V) which output to an Anderson SB120 plug. I'd like to use this to top off my Ecoflow Delta mini in the event of an emergency. The Ecoflow accepts XT60 female, and the charge controller handles 11-75V / 10A...

When it's not idling though isn't it still using 2kWh a day above baseline? Still something to account for when building out a system.

Any link to this from anyone? I checked Sol Ark's site and it still shows 90W. 90W seems pretty high - I'm kinda curious why an inverter would eat this much idling? (>2 kWh a day?)

Just curious - do you stack these on top of each other, or side by side? And did you just make your own cables for running in parallel? These seem like a better bet than the Chins given some of the quality issues posted recently
  • Post in thread: Recommended Reading/Viewing to better understand Grid-Tie PV+Battery considerations

Hi There! I'm looking for recommendations on videos or books to better understand the basics of how to properly set up a net metered / grid-tie PV+Battery setup that also works when the grid power goes down. The ultimate goal is to build a LFP battery backup solution that can power a few main...

EDIT: Epoch battery below is too tall for the ZT540e. The max Z height of the battery setup in the ZT540e is somewhere around 9". Is there any reason this battery wouldn’t work well for a ZT540e (54”) Ryobi? https://www.epochbatteries.com/products/48v-100ah-heated-bluetooth-lifepo4-battery...

Very nice and impressive! A few basic questions (I also have the 115Ah 54”): Do those painted frame pieces on top of the battery use dead end at the back or did you cut them off? With 16 cells in series - is there a chance for cell 1 and cell 16 to drift significantly in voltage over time...

Thanks - which model ryobi are you running? (Or at least what was the original capacity battery?)

I have been following for a while, is an “easy” option at this point for the larger Ryobi’s: 1. Buy the CHINS battery (or LiTime or something recommended by Will Prowse) - 48V, 100Ah with Bluetooth, and a charger. Charge new battery to 90-100%. 2. Remove old batteries 3. Secure new battery...

Thanks! Installing the charger in the mower makes sense. Though assumes the charger is OK with hours of vibrations.. which it probably is. I have the 115Ah Ryobi 54” (forget exact part #) and up to 3 acres to mow including a long / wide hill. I’d also like the LFP battery be available as an...
