I have looked at Nassau many times before as they carry some rare wire types.

I placed my first order with them for some Southwire Royal Excelene Welding Cable, because I love finding an extra pricey brand name version of a normally commodity product.

I ordered 6ft of it for my CC to battery connection which I want to get very robust for frequent high load long duration amperage.

10 days later, no update, no shipping confirmation, website order status tracking returns no results.

I called today and customer service found the order, said "blah blah, idk, this is a very short length" and that they will prompt the warehouse to update, fill, or cancel.

Yeah I know it's a short order, your website has minimum order limits and it allows short orders on this product.

This is not a bad review yet, if I get my Royal Excelene I will be happy. But it's a warning to be careful ordering anything from NNC that you need to get quickly.

I ordered various lengths, gauges and colors of THWN and bare copper wire from them last year and received my order in a reasonable amount of time, maybe a week. So I was pleased with my experience with them. Their prices were pretty hard to beat, although I got better prices for 4awg at local vendors at the time.

Nassau's shipping costs were a bit steep, tho. Think I paid them about $25 in shipping, but it was a lot of wire.

If your looking for very reasonable prices on battery wire check out batterycablesusa.com . I've bought several feet of 1awg and 1/0awg flexible cable, and am very pleased with it. It has a higher current rating than "normal" wire, like THHN, and much easier to bend.

Plus, they only charge about $4 to ship. They will also put on lugs if you need that done, but that will increase your costs some.

I'm looking for some brand name welding / battery wire. Very hard to find.

I don't want to have to use my own judgement, which is what I find is the case with generic wire. I want something with assurance of professional or industry use. Maybe I should just go to mcmaster carr and figure their generic is vetted by them at least.

Probably just go with Signature or Current Connected. I'd trust both of their vetting.

I'm searching because I'm unhappy with the Windynation stuff. When you cut it open the copper does not look super bright.

As long as it's 100% copper it shouldn't matter if it's a name brand or not. The flexible cable I got is pure copper. It's probably overkill for my situation, which is 2 Lifepower4 batts feeding an EG4 6500, but I'm happy with it.

Get DLO then, rated 2000 volts tined fine strand.

Nice area I grew up in Aptos south of Santa Cruz.
Oh you know it then, yeah I'm between SV and Felton. It is nice, except for most of our friends having to move away. And the laws. But it redeems itself with the beauty and weather most of the time.
