I'm looking to have the grid as a backup to charge my batteries. I have my main sub panel connected to load 1. If the grid goes down, I would not loose power to load 1 (critical load).

The grid will go into the "grid" ports. What settings do I need to enable to only allow power in from the grid? Will I still need to use CT's?

Enable "anti-reflux" to disable selling power back to the grid. Yes, you should install the CTs. The vast majority of inverter operation problems are due to incorrect installation of CTs. Make sure the arrow points towards the grid. Don't mix up line 1 and line 2. Install the CTs right after the utility meter so they measure the whole house consumption. That way your solar power can send power to non-critical loads such as AC that aren't connected to your inverter's load port.
