Hello guys, so im getting into commercial battery pack assembly and im in the process of prototyping and identifying components etc.

One of the trusted vendors here is quoting $24 per eve LF100 100ah cell. Seems kinda low and I'd hate to ship duds across continents.

Is that pricing close to current prices for 30pcs 100ah cells? Which Alibaba vendors are trustworthy for my needs? (Id also be ok with s168 60ah cells).
The vendor in question is offering a capacity test certificate for each cell. Thanks in advance

You are in Kenya. $24 usd is not out of line for 100 ah when 300ah is around $75 plus shipping. Maybe a little cheap, but I don't know the market for batteries in Kenya.

I've seen more DIY pack problems posts by far with 100Ah cells than 280/300's.

I think there's just less room for error with only 100Ah, and little differences in cell quality show themselves more.

Thanks for the input, I should note these are alibaba prices. Also reached out to Eve themselves and they quoted me $26 for the same cells🤔

Interesting. Are the problems like capacity wise or general cell quality? Im sort of limited to 100ah cells in providing a competitive low end product line( think 12v 100ah for $350-450)

Balance problems and low pack capacity due to one cell running out.

With 4S packs I think it's safer than 16S, especially if you have a stock of them so you can capacity test the packs and swap out bad cells.
