Voltage Boost

Hi All,

I have ~6kw of panels in 3 strings wired in parallel going into my growatt 5000es. The total voltage of my panels is around 170V. I have noticed recently that i am hitting the 22A limit on the growatt and am therefore losing out on potential power. Wiring more panels in series to boost the voltage is not an option as I am out of space and also the 3 strings can have shading at different times of days. Is there any other way I can boost my PV voltage somehow so I can get more power from the 22A max?

Not really, some thoughts:
Strings pointing in different directions (or with different shading) wired in parallel isn't going to work very well, you need more MPPT inputs, maybe another growatt 5000es in parallel or a different inverter with more MPPT inputs?
Swap out the panels for ones with higher voltage/lower current? Sounds like a nightmare.
Add diodes to the strings so the low string doesn't drag down the MPPT voltage?
...No Good Answers, sorry...

Thanks for the input, I figured as much. I have a combiner box so the strings don't interfere with each other too much, just wish I could get an extra 50V per string!

Followup question, if i got a second charge controller for one of the strings, can I hook it to my existing batteries that the growatt is communing with?

Due to shading i cannot create a single string or split the strings
