Hi all, wonder if someone could kindly advise please.
I've built my first lifepo4 battery 12v 280ah.
I am using a JBD BMS 150ah

I have gone into the app and set the nominal capacity to 280ah and the cycle capacity set it's self.

However I am not sure what full charge capacity is and whether I need to adjust this.
I have attached a photo if someone could advise please.

I charging the battery with a victron smart charger 12v/20amp

I am new to this so still learning.

Regards so

I have an Overkill Solar BMS which is a JBD BMS. The Full Charge Capacity is a setting I have not seen before. Probably part of a newer firmware than in my BMS. Don't know the setting, but guessing the value of 50000 mAH is way to high. Maybe try a value in-between Nominal Capacity and Cycle Capacity to start? Also may find the Cycle Capacity of 224000 is set low.

My BMS would not show proper SOC until a charge cycle was complete and when any changes are made another charge cycle needs to be completed.

See the link below for the Overkill Solar BMS manual which is a JBD BMS.
Hope it helps...

I've built my own packs with jbd bms and EVE lf280k cells. I had a user manual for these cells that I got from my distributors. Of you didn't get one, check the file library on this forum to see if you exact cells are listed. I don't know fir sure, but this "full charge capacity" may refer to how many amps your cells can accept during charging? That is what I would look at. I'm currently using the Overkill bms app, and it doesn't have such a parameter listed. Fwiw, 50,000 miliamps is only 50 amps, so not really very much. I believe these cells are rated 1C, which would mean that you could technically pump 304,000 miliamps into them. But, again, this all depends on what, exactly "full charge capacity " really means.
